United Bank for Africa retired workers stormed the bank headquarters on Marina, Lagos on Wednesday July 29th 2015 chanting war songs. The retired workers are very bitter with the Africa leading bank for paying them N10,000 monthly as pension.
The retired workers comprising of managers, principal managers, supervisors and sub-managers across Nigeria wept that they get paid N10,000 only by UBA after working for the bank for 22years. Some of the pensioners brought mat which they spread at the entrance of the Africa giant bank and started sleeping.
The pensioners complained that some people working with the bank now earned N10million monthly while the pensioners who worked hard to build the bank gets only N10,000... Read more
