Point of correction foreign media didn't hide anything from anybody try and be less obsessed with the so called western world. Lagos is 90% business center and not tourist zone, there is some traits to tourist zones like Natural sites, serenity, tranquility (quiteness)etc and these things and more lack in lagos, e.g what do you think an American will like to come and see in lagos that is not in America, foreigners troop to SA because of nature.

its a known fact that foreign media do portray Africa(as a whole) as a war torn, famine prone continent lacking civilization and basic infrastructure which is not that bad(foreigners don't troop to SA because of nature alone, bt because of their advance infrastructure too.

The Foreign media will tell you about 'the despicable lagos slumps'! With biased statistics!

I kept asking myself; The UN says 69% of Nigerians live below the poverty line ( $1 per day). Whereas, The NCC just announced that there are about 150m ACTIVE cellphone lines in Nigeria. My question is... how could over 120m nigerians afford the cost of those phones( since no phone is available at less than a dollar), How do they Recharge the Mobile accounts, charge their phones and still live on a dollar per day

Don't be fooled, It is all over priced compared even to the world coveted USA.. Also the fine sceneries are carefully selected and zoomed out from the true fine details, and not even representative of one percent of Nigeria.
Is it not like showing me the finest one cm. square of your body and saying that it represents you?
It is a world of average people. Show us the life and places of average people.
Overpriced living surrounded very closely by squalor, instability and inconsistency is not something most people on earth can afford nor have interest in.
