Is it a bird? No - it’s a cloud! Incredible shape emerges in stormy skies


Clouds can throw up all sorts of familiar shapes but this bird-shaped thundercloud looks exactly like the real thing.

The spectacular image of the huge bird outline dominating the sky was captured by photographer Todd Connaghan in Alberta, Canada, last week.

Unbelievably, Todd managed to capture the images of the moody-looking sky on his iPhone.

He revealed: “Both the images were shot using the camera I had on me at the time, which was an iPhone 5c.

“If I had gone to grab my camera gear, I would have missed this spectacular sight.”

The cloud kept its bird shape for about five minutes as the storm quickly built up.

It eventually evaporated - but not before scaring the entire mouse population in Canada.
