As we should not excuse ourselves from any part of our duty, so neither should we grow tired of it. There is in all of us a tendency to do this. We have a tendency to fall off from it particularly that part that is of concern here: doing good to others. We should therefore carefully watch and guard against weariness in doing good. There is a reason for it: we shall get rewarded before long if we don't get tired.
Perseverance in doing good must be our watchword throughout August and even beyond.
