So i have like a 3 inch afro and So i want dreadlocks but i want to do it myself and let it come naturally without paying the professionals. I just bought bee wax and i just twisted some of my hair yesterday and applied bee wax on it and its been 24 hrs and my hair is really shiny and partially locked (the parts i twisted). The only question is should i pour water on it or wait a few weeks for the locks to fully form and become hard before pouring water. So far since i twisted it i have not added water cuz i dunno about hair much. I do know that my previous attempts failed cuz once i poured water the partial locks they losen, tho back then i just used sponge to roll my hair round to form the partial locks. but ladies pls how long should i wait till i start pouring water on my newly twisted hair that is partially locked?
