Very few are truly committed to reaching out for God’s best for them. Many of us believe that all we have is all we could have because we have been influenced by the negatives around us that we have forgotten that this is a world of abundance. God has far more for all of us than we are experiencing.
Many are unable to access God’s best for their lives for the following reasons;
1. Being Satisfied With Where They Are:Many are too comfortable with what they have and where they are that they forget that God can do exceedingly and abundantly more that they can ever think or imagine. To reach out for something better, you must first get tired of where you are. But where by you keep holding on to that which you have now without any desire for something better, then you are definitely settling for less than you deserve. The fact is that there is never any point you will get to in life where there is nothing else to aspire for. After Apostle Paul wrote, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,” He didn’t retire to an obscure life. He was stillin the field. Don’t settle where you are there is more to reach out for. After every end, there is a bend. Keep going!

2. Unwillingness to Pay The Price:In life most times, for us to get something of a higher nature, we need to let go something of lower nature. Every meaningful step forward will demand a certain price. A sacrifice. Most of us will prefer to remain the way we are than pay the needed price to go higher. We prefer security than opportunity. Therefore we invariably stagnate ourselves. The odd thing about this is that life is progressive and change is a constant thing in life. If you refused to change or make a move for something better, things around you will. And when things around you change, you are likely going to be at the receiving end and is likely going to be the negative end. So pay that price now for a better you. It may not be convenient now but in the long run, you will be glad you did.

3. Failure to Recognize “Open Doors” (Opportunities):Most believers are not sensitive enough to know when God has brought an opportunity for a turn around to them. Blind Bartimaeus recognized that Jesus holds what it takes to heal him of his blindness. He took hold of that opportunity and got his desired result. One major reason that makes people not to recognize their open doors or opportunities is the fact that they do not really know what they want. When one really know what he/she wants, it is easier to spot opportunities or open doors that will turn such desires to realities. Remember that blind Bartimaeus did not mince words when asked what he wanted. He was exact. He was specific. Therefore it is not enough to just aspire to go higher. You have to be more exact. More specific.

4. Lack of Faith and Determination:Actualizing all that God has promised you will demand faith, courage and determination on your part. There no worthy venture in life that will not demand these. Many things and many people will likely try to stop or discourage you. You may be challenged and ridiculed by others who prefer the comfort zone. Even you can be a source of discouragement to yourself. But that will only happen when you’ve taken your eyes of your goal and lost the drive and enthusiasm to reach for it. So to get there, you need to keep hope alive, belief in the God who is able to see you through, believe in yourself and in the beauty of your aspiration.
5. Final Words
Until we desire and reach out for the best that God has promised us, we may never experience them. God has more to offer us. Let us not allow the pea nut blessings to take our eyes off the giant ones. Desire God’s best for you, go for it, and settle for nothing less.
Happy Sunday!
