It's probably hybrid, or a deformity which could be caused by pollution esp oil spill.

Its nothing new, its a species of fruit bat, its called the hammer head bat. Watch national geographic una no go gree na only telemundo una go dey watch.

OP, why don't you advice whoever posted the photos to take it to the nearest University Zoology/Biology department.
They may be interested in studying the bat and perhaps keep record of photos etc smiley smiley

This is no different from human beings being born with additional limbs, or some oversize/undersize physical structures.

Physical mutation due to environmental or chromosomal imbalance is nothing new, strange or spectacular in animals of any species.

It is simply just that - a deformity.
