Uba Savings Account: Encouragement Or Discouragement To Saving by classictim(m): 8:01pm On Mar 21, 2009 |
Every right thinking person will be as disturb as I am about the manner UBA is deducting money from savings Account. One begins to wonder if savings account is intended to extort/exploit from the people or to encourage savings. Instead of interest, what I receive are: “Debit Alert: N105 had be deducted from your account, Remark; Mini account Maintenance Fee”, “Debit Alert N45 as be deducted from your account, Remark ATM/CCC Maintenance” and all the rest of it. To worsen matters one can not withdraw from the ATM without having to keep a N1000 naira as balance, what a callous policy! I need your comments, please tell me if I am the only one affected. Many thanks Nairalanders |

My advice to u is to change banks quickly, fact is these so called first generation banks still act as if we're in the 60's. They act like they're doing the customer a favour by keeping his or her money, so just keep giving phantom, bogus charges. I recommend u try a third generation like GT bank or oceanic or , u get the picture |
