The latest spate of scam rocking the federal capital city now is at ATM points.
Whenever you visit any ATM pay point in the city please be vigilant and cautious of by-standers that pretend to be floating around the vicinity as many of them are criminals
A victim narrated her ordeal to me which happened last week at one of the banks ATM at Wise.
After making her withdrawal, she got a call from her boss to quickly dash back to the office as her services were needed. She answered the call but naively voiced out that she had made the withdrawal and was on her way back to the office. Unknown to her the by-standers heard her and organised their vehicle to pretend as a taxi which picked her up heading for area 3.
On boarding the vehicle, she said someone touched her on the arm and that was the last thing she remembered.
The next time she became conscious of her environment, she found herself in Lokoja!!!
She was so confused and shocked that she broke down in tears which attracted onlookers who put some money together for her to return back to area 1 where she resides. She was thoroughly robbed of all she had on her but fortunately was not killed.
Residents of the FCT should be careful at ATMs and restrain from talking to strangers who pose as beggars or someone looking lost.
I wish the police can step in and apprehend these hoodlums.

This is serious.

I will definitely spread the news.

Instead of them to use the time they use in looking for who to scam or rob wisely they will rather waste it looking for innocent people to steal from.

God is watching.
