Students of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moore Plantation, Apata, Ibadan, took to Ibadan-Abeokuta expressway the road which their school is located to protest the death of one of their students who was knocked down at the front of the school gate by a learner. According to the students, one of them, simply known as Aminu was knocked down by a learner yesterday as he attempted to cross the express road.

He will be the 3rd student to die this week as two people were earlier knocked down during the week. Stop killing us, the students told motorists, as they were forced to park and wind down to hear them.

We learnt Aminu made it to the hospital alive, but a major surgery was meant to be carried out on him which will eventually cost N1.5m, but sadly he passed on early hours of this morning and students took to the express way to demonstrate their anger. A lot of motorists were also asked to turn back as they blocked the road with burning tyres, planks and other heavy objects.

did you just say that they constitute nuisance and destroy the road when after a lot of letters and petition about that road, motor car and motorcycle killing a lot of people, student almost every week, do you expect them to just keep watching student dieing like a ritual chicken? NO!!!! They have to fight there right, only those that doesn't know the real cause of that protest will call it nuisance.... On friday someone was hit at that road, he die the following day and on monday again a student was hit which lead to the protest and the night of that same day, someone was hit at odo ona again and die..... ALUTA CONTINUE until those speed breaker are constructed!
Am sure there is no violence cos everything was peaceful out there. Thanks

it seems you didn't listen to the news, well for your information, we ain't constituting nuisance, we're just showing our grievances and protecting ourselves.
A student was hit by a speeding vehicle while about to cross into the school and this is not the first time something of such is happening.
we've written on several occasions to the School management and the Government to provide Speed breakers(bumps) for us on the highway for some years now all but to no avail.
If nothing is done on that road overnight, we're gonna continue tomorrow till Victory is ascertained.
We are not nuisance, we're only making our voices heard. we ain't chicken left to be killed by speeding vehicles, we're students!

I hope people should get there info right before disseminating it, The Boy is alive and that's not the reason why they protest today..... The main reason for protest is to raise the money for the boy surgery which they did successfully and also for the speed break construction... So get your source right bfor posting shit
