Fellow nairalanders, hope you are having a splendid day? I decided to write this piece today for those who are aspiring to be a great cinematographer. There so many things cameraman needs to know if you want to be identify as a professional...three years gone in this field, with alot of bad and good experience, this and many more will come your way soon. This six tips will only not make you a professional but renowned you remarkably.

* you needs to know about a television technology and how to operate a camera

*you needs motivation and commitments, it might never appear so good at the beginning, its normal but with time you will be smiling to the bank. Commit yourself on needed task and make sure you have appealing results.

*being social: you need to get on with people who are grieving, under stress etc. The truth is you will face so many as a cameraman, some people will not even know your worth but just wish to insult you all in the name of you shouldering a camera, relax your mind is part of the job. Taking things personally will not make you what you want to be in this field

* you will also need to know what a good compositions are and must have a feeling for good shots.

*manage contacts: having contact in the industry is very important, u needs to make more friends and connections. You might taught u might not need them, hmmmmm you will definitely one day need them.

* be very very flexible: when challenges arise be in the right place at the right time. A saying goes "the highest form of ignorance is trying to reject something you know nothing about" be willing to learn anything that work hand in hand with your profession.
I also needs to know how to fix almost everything, from a wireless microphone that start to behave weird, to a gel filter that keeps falling down, be able to fix some common problem your computer device might face like formating when been affected by inevitable viruses
