Career women don't believe they should be held back by their periods. Some have made drastic decision by using progesterone pills. Pills which was originally intended as contraceptive, is now been used to switch off monthly period.
This is a new trend and I know African women love to copy. Most women indulging in it are doing it for convenience. A monthly period might be uncomfortable but African men believe it to be the cornerstone of being a woman of child bearing age.
For many women, period is a *curse*. The symptoms include nausea, abdominal cramps, and bloating. This often lead to decreased productivity in many businesses. Million man hours are lost to sick leave as a result of monthly period.

Method of stopping flow.

Any form of hormanal contraception can stop a woman's period but the side effect vary from individual to individual. Health risk from progesterone pills are especially over a long term.

Health risk.

1. Fertility issues

2. Cancer

3. Heart diseases

4. Bones health issues as a result of decrease in bone density.
