However, I suggest that the competition should be open to everyone who meets the requirement of the organizer. And all submissions which must be original idea of each participant (either a group or an individual) should be submitted in pictures and videos with short narration of how it works.

Its what looking at! l like competitions for brilliant ideas.......... but we need to do more "paper-work" to Make it FAIR TO ALL and worth the effort.

e.g:
*How do you prevent copy-copy? .... if original ideas are to be displayed here?
*Proper and clear definition of what amounts to a "winner" needs to be specified?
*Prize needs to be stated... and of enough motivational value
*Impartial Panel of adjudicators need to be set-up and method of evaluation clearly spelt out
*Factor-in the naysayers who will do everything to cause disarray

This emergency window exit is something that we've been discussing since last year and I think Muyesky said he does offer something for his clients but don't quote me.

Earlier this year when I was home I met with my local welder that did my fence and showed him some diagrams I made. Before I left the country hr cobbled some stuff together but it was rudimentary. After I left the country work stopped. No biggie since shyte hit the fan shortly thereafter, economy wise.

If and when I tidy up the design it will be shared on here freely and also on the web. I take this matter seriously and is not something I can morally go into with economics in mind, safety first.

So here's a rough sketch I did, the one I did on SketchUp will be shared when I get back to the home office.

If someone can take this and make it better and have it available sooner the better, put me down for one.

It's a frame in a frame design meaning that it doesn't need the window wall once it's installed.

Section A is a panel that is open to receive any design of metal that fits the house.

Section B is the business part. And like the pedal section it can be installed left or right based on the layout of the room. The best I could come up with is an American gate latch system that is protected from tampering. I would like to do a regular miniature door lock. This is the only thing that I am working on, the rest is a done deal. Panel is totally enclosed.

The pedal is inserted into the brick wall alongst with the cable or rod system much like we install plumbing pipes.

The pedal is of course inset into the wall and out of the way but can easily be felt and pressed by foot and the window released and flung open.

I am even toying with a slight spring load on the swinging part so that during an emergency it will open with a crack so you can feel it in a smoky situation.

2. I suggest N150,000 as total price money to be given to the winner and the runner-ups which should be shared in ratio 5:3:2
Other incentives includes award of recognition, a weekend in Paris and other things that adds value.

3. Submissions should be judged by the following criteria: compliance with requirements, creativity and innovation, contemporary relevance, aesthetic merit, constructability and suitability of design for intended use, ease of use, safety and the affordability.
Winners should be selected based on merit and not bias.

4. Panel of judges should be setup as follows:

- 3 active members of the forum (impartial and analytical) should be selected based on nomination by forum users.

- 2 professional design consultant outside Nairaland should be invited as the Jury. One abroad, one at home in Naija.

- 1 respected elder on the forum to act as the moderator.

5. Date for the submission of ideas should be announced and voting should be pushed to the NL frontpage for a non-bias selection of winners. Winners should be announced latest 12 hours after voting.

6. All ideas and creations that failed to meet the design requirement should be automatically disqualified and the reason for disqualification should be announced by the moderator.

7. All contestant should post their submissions in jpeg format and share the video link on YouTube channel which should be created specially for the contest.

Bosun Davies Shoyoye obviously had his plan in mind, this was the same person who started the idea of the fake building plan, and I was always suspicious hence why I said it was going to be on him, and when I discovered it was fake, this is the reason why he is refunding me back my money (Over 400k) on a weekly basis, paying 10k every week.
