The Shell Petroleum Development Company Joint Venture (SPDC JV) University Scholarship Programme for 2014/2015 has been launched.

The scholarship scheme aims to promote academic excellence among young Nigerians, by offering undergraduates in Nigerian universities, the opportunity to study with an annual grant from the SPDC JV for the full duration of their course.

Eligibility:
There are three award categories—the National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award, East and West (OE and OW).
· National Merit Award (NM)
Open to Nigerians who are not indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas (in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers States)

· Areas of Operation Merit Award, East (OE)
Open to Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Rivers and Bayelsa States (excluding indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas)

· Areas of Operation Merit Award, West (OW)
Open to Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas in Delta and Bayelsa States (from Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas)

This is a rumor that has kept almost everyone in my set thinking. According to what a senior colleague told me, the reason for the 8 years was due to some issues the school had then. Now though, things are changing for the better and we should be looking at 6 to 7 years.

Am curently in 200 level in aaua and with the low medical standard at ambrose alli UTH , am not even willing to come. I Scored 69 In Post UME
