Doing what you love for living is everyone's dream, but it's easier said than done. Most people take any job that is good enough and paid well. When we do such thing we think it's temporary and in couple of years we won't have any financial troubles and will find that dream job we've always wanted. But eventually we find ourselves working decades on a job we hate and still struggling financially or even lose our job to somebody whose dream job was your job. The truth is there is no perfect time for anything and delaying your dreams will hurt only you. So if you've decided to bring some changes into your life and find a job you will love here are some tips how to do that:

1. Know What You Love

It may sound weird but most of the people who doesn't love their jobs simply do not know what would they want to do. But how are you going to get what you want if don't even know what is it you want? Therefore, the first step toward getting a dream job is knowing what interests you and what makes you happy. There are some questions you can ask yourself that will help you: If I didn’t need money, what would I do in life?; What was I most fascinated with as a child?; What do I believe I do best?

2. Be Ready To Work Hard

Achieving your dream job requires working really hard for some period. Especially if you're going to start your own business out of your hobby, for example. You have to be ready to sacrifice some things like your time and money to start something really valuable. In any case changing your career is risky and you must have courage to take this step. But if you truly believe in yourself and what you do this won't be a problem.

3. Find A Role Model

Depending on your field of work, I'm sure, there are plenty of people who've gained success in that industry. Read their biographies and interviews. You don't want to repeat what they did to become successful because what worked for them won't necessary work for you. But you need to understand how those people think. It actually works even if this successful person you admire is not even in your field of work. The thing is the more deeply you understand how successful people think, the more likely you'll be successful at finding your dream job.

4. Learn How To Sell Your Brand

When you are searching for a job, any job, you need to know how to sell yourself on an interview. This works for your dream job too. You need to learn how to sell yourself, your ideas and services. In the beginning selling would be more than 90% of your job, so you need to know how to do it. It doesn't matter what services you want to provide or what product you want to sell. Learn about marketing and think about your brand.

5. Write A Great Resume And Cover Letter

Resume is the first thing employer sees. Resume creates the first impression and if you want to get that job the first impression needs to be not just positive but amazing. Remember that it's essential to customize your resume and, especially, cover letter for the job and company you're applying for.

6. Don't Compromise

Finding your dream job might take a while. And we know that a long job-search can be overwhelming. And as a result you can apply to every job you can find or even stay at your current position. But if you do want to find the job you'll love you must resist this temptation. Be strong and don't compromise. If you will give up you'll find yourself on another job you hate in couple of month.
