Thanks to the defunct Mo'hits crew, the culture of using hype-men in the Nigerian music scene became more prominent. The then partnership between Don Jazzy and D'banj saw the emergence of many firsts in Naija's music industry of which the use of a hypeman was one.

It was a common sight to see a huge guy come on stage, bounce from one end to another, evoke screams and chants from the audience and generally warm up the crowd before the Kokomaster and other members of the Mo'hits crew make their grand entrance onto the stage.
