The transfer window slams shut at 6pm this evening and I have news of every rumour, move and done deal right here.
Let's begin...

Deadline Day has arrived, but what does it have in store for the Premier League's clubs?

David De Gea's Real Madrid transfer is still up in the air after a paperwork c-ock-up late last night.

Manchester United will be looking to add a signing or two, including Anthony Martial, at some point today after a mass exodus of players yesterday.

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal are looking to make a late addition to the squad, while Chelsea look set to bring in a centre-back at some point today.

Here's a club-by-club guide to what YOUR side will be doing today.

I'll keep you up to date with every done deal here throughout the day - don't miss a beat.

Just keep refreshing the page in intervals to see latest posts.

Lennon In, Mcgeady Out?

If Everton do manage to thrash out a deal for Aaron Lennon - and you can bet it will be seconds before the window closes, given Daniel Levy’s involvement - then expect Aidan McGeady to go out, possibly on loan.

The pressure is slightly less intense there though, because the Scottish window stays open until midnight, and that is the most likely destination for the maverick winger. Celtic? Probably not. But stranger things have happened....

Berbatov Back To The EPL?

Aston Villa are close to finalising a deal to bring Dimitar Berbatov back to the Premier League.
The Bulgarian striker is a free agent after leaving Monaco in June, so the deal does not have to be completed before today’s 6pm deadline.
But Villa sources claim boss Tim Sherwood is confident that the former Manchester United striker will join the Midlands club this week.
Sherwood wants an experienced Premier League frontman and had also been attempting to sign Emmanuel Adebayor from Tottenham.
But Adebayor is set for West Ham, with the final year of his Spurs contract likely to be paid up, and Villa are now lose to tying up a move for the 34-year-old Berbatov.

Watford Confirm Layun Loan To Porto

Miguel Layun has left Watford on loan, after Porto snapped up the midfielder for the rest of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 27-year-old joined the Hornets in January and turned out 21 times for the side, chipping in with one goal - which happened to be in Watford’s Premier League opener against Everton this season.

Deals Expected To Go Through Today

Here is the first part of some deals I've drawn up and expect to go through today

Emmanuel Adebayor to West Ham

The talks are at an advanced stage. Spurs are ready to pay up the troubled Togo striker to get him out on a free as Victor Moses has taken up the final loan spot available at Upton Park. Hammers’ boss Slaven Bilic isn’t actually that keen but others at the club are. Expect it to be done.

Saido Berahino to Tottenham

Spurs should blink first. Basically because they need to. West Brom chief Jeremy Peace has played a blinder and has his Tottenham counterpart Daniel Levy over a barrel.

Peace already has Berahino’s replacement, Salomon Rondon, in for just £12million - a brilliant bit of business.

Peace is also well aware that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is desperate for get Berahino in to help Harry Kane up front.

The word is that West Brom want £30million for their man. Even if they settle for £25million that would represent a healthy profit - and sting a bit for Levy.

Andros Townsend to Aston Villa

Intriguing one this but could still happen. Townsend wants to play regularly in European Championship year and has vowed to fight for his place at Tottenham. Trouble is, he isn’t necessarily seen as a first-teamer by Mauricio Pochettino and Villa boss Tim Sherwood knows that. The Midlands club are positioning themselves to be first in the queue if the England winger gets the green light to go.

Newcastle : Additions or Subtractions?

Newcastle are expecting quiet day today and won’t be adding to their big summer spend.
However they will not be against off loading fringe players. Brentford allegedly have an interest in Mike Williamson, and Hull have been interested in Yoan Gouffran, both deemed well out of the first team picture.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has been monitoring the situation of Newcastle defender Paul Dummett, but there is little chance of that happening today.

Olivier Kemen’s sale to Lyon raises a small amount of cash for a teenager who had not played a first team game, despite his reputation as a promising talent.
Newcastle look light in the striker department, and will need Aleksandar Mitrovic to get goals, and hope Papiss Cisse is still up to it despite being unsettled.

Ayoze Perez will also have to take his chances. Interest from Spurs in Perez, rated at £15m, will be rebuffed, despite representing a huge profit in 12 months.

Manchester United: Martial We've Been Watching You

Louis van Gaal has turned unproven Anthony Martial into the most expensive teenager in football history.

Less than 24 hours after vowing not to panic, the Manchester United boss pushed the emergency button by agreeing to pay £36million for the unproven Monaco forward.

United insist the deal for the 19-year-old took shape so close to Tuesday’s transfer deadline because Monaco would not sell while they remained in the Champions League and the French side were only knocked out of the qualifiers by Valencia last Tuesday.

Gary Neville Upset!

Gary Neville has delivered his withering assessment on the transfer window after watching Manchester United become embroiled in a “circus” on the eve of deadline day.

Goalkeeper David De Gea was all set to sign for Real Madrid after the two clubs finally came to an agreement after a summer of negotiations.

But with the £29million deal about to go through the required paperwork wasn’t delivered before the Spanish transfer deadline meaning the move is now in danger of collapse.

And after watching the drama play out former United defender Neville took to social media to express his dismay at the current system.

De Gea Decision Could Take Ten Days

David De Gea’s hopes of sealing his dream move to Real Madrid are looking increasing unlikely.

Manchester United sources last night maintained that they submitted their paperwork on time with regard to the release of De Gea’s player registration, as well as the relevant documents for the transfer of makeweight Keylor Navas.

United submitted all the paperwork and documents to FIFA’s International Transfer Management System (ITMS), a software programme onto which the buying and selling club must upload the required data with regard to transfers.

The Bernabeu club’s hopes of completing the deal now rest on being able to prove that they too had submitted all of the required documents before the midnight deadline - as they claim.

However, recent precedent for a similar move does not bode well for the 24-year-old keeper.

In January, Levante hoped they had beaten the midnight deadline to complete a six-month loan for Fulham’s Bryan Ruiz

Martials Exit Good News For Tottenham

Monaco’s sale of Anthony Martial to Manchester United yesterday was good news for Tottenham’s European ambitions this season.

The Ligue 1 club yesterday tried to get Juventus striker Simone Zaza on loan for the season as a replacement. But when the Serie A club refused, Monaco decided against going into the market at the last minute to strengthen a squad which is in the same Europa League group as Spurs.

The team which beat Arsenal to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season has been dismantled with sales of over 200m Euros.

Geoffrey Kondogbia (Inter Milan), Yannick Ferreira Carrasco (Atletico Madrid), Layvin Kurzawa (PSG) and Aymen Abdennour (Valencia) were all sold – and Joao Moutinho would probably have been offloaded to Zenit St Petersburg if he had not been injured. Dimitar Berbatov did not have his contract renewed. Radamel Falcao, now on loan at Chelsea. is also still under contract with Monaco.

Rooney Asks Who Is Anthony Martial?

Morgan Schneiderlin has told reporters that Wayne Rooney had to ask him who Anthony Martial was after news of the 19-year-old imminent Old Trafford move stepped up.

“To be honest, yesterday [Sunday] on the plane, Wayne Rooney came to speak to me and asked me who Martial was, because the English press had started to speak,” said Rooney’s Red Devils team-mate.

“I told him he’s a great player with great potential, who has played some good matches with Monaco last season and the the beginning of this.

“I told him he is technical and powerful. A little like Therry Henry, even if it’s the press who are making that comparison.”

Victor Wanyama is furious after being told once more by Southampton that he will not be sold to Tottenham today.

The 24-year-old Kenyan has made it clear to the Saints that he wants to quit for north London to be reunited with his former boss Mauricio Pochettino.

But Southampton have so far stood firm in the face of his frustration and the north Londoners’ determination to sign their defensive midfielder.

It means Spurs will have to return for the former Celtic star in January if they want to sign him. Wanyama has privately vowed to reject a new deal with just two years left.

Spurs have already annoyed Southampton this summer by signing defender Toby Alderweireld ahead of the Saints who were adamant they had first option on the Atletico Madrid defender.

The South coast side have no intention in further strengthening their rivals by allowing Wanyama to solve their problems in midfield.

Wenger Escorting Cavani To Arsenal?

On the surface, this looks reasonable - Arsenal manager flies out to Paris on deadline day to seal last-minute deal.

But wouldn’t potential signings be flying to Arsenal, not the other way around?

That is, of course, unless Wenger is going to see someone who hasn’t been given permission to leave the national squad.

I’ll bring you confirmation as soon as i get it. Though news has it that 45 million pounds has already been accepted by PSG to sell Cavani

Aston Villa have failed with a bid to take Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle on loan.

Villa boss Tim Sherwood is now looking elsewhere with Palace understood to be unwilling to allow Gayle to leave unless they get £10million for him.

Bristol City caused a stir earlier this month when they agreed the eye-catching fee for the rising star. Gayle chose to turn down the move.

But, having spent £46million this summer, Villa have now started looking at loan deals.

Southampton have taken to Twitter to display some superb passive aggressiveness by remind the world that Sadio Mane is well and truly a Southampton player.

Manchester United were linked with the striker last week, although that’s gone quiet in recent days, as the Red Devils’ window takes yet more surreal twists and turns.

Liverpool have agreed a deal with West Brom to sell Jose Enrique. The fee is described as a nominal one. Maybe it means he’ll go for nothing and leave behind the collection of toys he used to swan around the training ground with, while all the other players were out at work. Or perhaps the fee is the price of a luxury holiday in Dubai, which Enrique always seemed rather fond of. Whatever, you can be sure Liverpool would accept a packet of wine gums just to get rid of the left back. grin grin grin

If you’re a Liverpool fan looking for dramatic news today, then you may be just a little disappointed, because it seems they’ve just about done all their business already (though 10 signings in the window isn’t exactly bad going is it?!).

The best you can hope for is the departure of Jose Enrique, with West Brom losing their senses and checking out the sick note defender. Expect wild celebrations down Anfield way if that goes through.
One deal not happening is Tiago Ilori to Sunderland, with the Portugal U21 international turning down a loan move to the Stadium of Light, to instead fight for a first team opportunity on Merseyside.

Norwich City could make another move to strengthen their forward line with a loan swoop for Fraizer Campbell.
The former Cardiff man has no future at Crystal Palace and is free to leave the club.
But despite some interest this summer, particularly from the Championship, Campbell’s wage packed in the region of £30,000 per week has put off suitors.

Start crossing your fingers Liverpool fans, and anything else that can overlap because he’s on the move....Jose Enrique is starting up the car and pointing it towards the M6.
The defender has been given permission to talk to West Brom, and is on his way for a medical. Maybe not time to hold the breath just yet though, with his record, the Italian could injure himself getting into the vehicle. Maybe the Reds should send him in an ambulance just to make sure.

Re: Today Is EPL Transfer Deadline: All Rumours And Done Deals LIVE! (+PICS) by CrazyScientist: 11:52am On Sep 01, 2015
West Ham’s bid to sign highly-rated winger Michail Antonio has stalled - because Nottingham Forest want ALL of his £7million transfer fee up front.

The Hammers had their bid accepted yesterday for the 25-year-old for whom cash-strapped Forest paid just £1.5million last summer from Sheffield Wednesday.

But the east Londoners are refusing to break with standard practice in making the payment as a lump sum.

The deal should still go through before tonight’s deadline with Antonio desperate to make the switch.

The wideman has scored 15 goals in his debut campaign at the City Ground to attract interest from Derby and West Brom as well as the Hammers.

The Irons are set to complete deals for Victor Moses and Emmanuel Adebayor today after confirming the loan capture of Alex Song.

Moses is also poised to join on a season-long loan from Chelsea while Adebayor will finally leave Spurs for West Ham but may have to do so on a permanent basis.

The Hammers have room for just one more loan which means Spurs - desperate to offload Adebayor - could be forced to pay up part of his wages as a lump sum enabling the striker to move on a free transfer.

Erik Lamela is still at Tottenham after Mauricio Pochettino stepped in to block a proposed move to Marseille.

The French club thought they had secured a deal after negotiations started with his agent last week and then talks opened with Spurs, La Provence has claimed. Italian clubs Juventus and Inter Milan had been interested in a loan move but Tottenham had wanted a sale for the Argentine who cost £30m in 2013. But late last night, Tottenham pulled out of the deal as Pochettino was unhappy the purchase of Saido Berahino had not been completed.

L’Equipe has claimed this morning that Everton yesterday made a 25m Euro (£18m) offer for Lamela to complicate the deal.

Newcastle have just confirmed that French midfielder Olivier Kemen has left the club for Lyon in a permanent deal.

The 19-year-old was snapped up from Metz in 2013 but didn’t make a single first-team appearance for the Magpies.

He joins Lyon on an undisclosed fee.

Everton have landed Argentine defender Ramiro Funes Mori for £9.5million after agreeing a fee with River Plate last week.

The two clubs were working on clearance from the Home Office, but that has now come through.

No sleeping on the bicycle, some more news just came in...

Main Points Of Today :

Will Manchester United and Real Madrid get the David De Gea deal done (see earlier posts above)

Manchester United are also looking to confirm their £36million move for Monaco striker Anthony Martial

Tottenham are looking to go in again for West Brom striker Saido Berahino

Chelsea are in need of defensive reinforcements - will Everton’s hands-off threat over John Stones scare them off?

Have Arsenal got a big striker move up their sleeve?

What's In For Arsenal?

Will we see any movement at Arsenal today?

Here’s my bite-sized guide to the Gunners on deadline day:

In so far Petr Cech (£10million).

Out so far Lukas Podolski (£2m), Serge Gnabry (loan), Carl Jenkinson (loan), Wojciech Szczesny (loan), Yaya Sanogo (loan).

What could happen on deadline day? Arsene Wenger is still watching and waiting, but it would take a domino effect with players suddenly becoming available for Arsenal to do anything. A striker is still wanted but they’re not panicking, so my suspicion is they won’t do anything else.

[The Ox Going To Turkey?

It looks like Galatasaray have been eyeing up Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Turkish giants are preparing a huge offer for the Arsenal star, says our man John Cross.

They have made contact to enquire about the England international’s availability and are determined to try to get their man.

A French agent has got the mandate to attempt to broker a deal for the 22-year-old, who has got three years left on his current deal at the Gunners.

Valdes And Van Gaal All Good?

It seems unlikely, given the way the Manchester United manager hung his goalkeeper out to dry earlier in the summer, but the Spanish goalkeeper has certainly raised a few eyebrows with his new Facebook cover photo.

Last night, less than 24 hours before the end of the summer transfer window, the Spaniard set a picture of United’s club crest as his Facebook cover photo.

The post could mean Valdes, who looked to be all but out of the Old Trafford exit door, does in fact have a future at Old Trafford.

He was set to join Turkish clubs Besiktas, but that deal collapsed earlier on Monday.
