Ever since the devil took over, the world had been filled with darkness, yes darkness as thick as a wall. Men where blind and would trust in anything that offer to lead them and to give them a sense of direction. Of course, they where led in traps, they where led to their destruction. And the next generation would follow the footsteps of their fathers because they could not see. For thousands of years man was humiliated, treated like animals, like the lowest of creatures and all because he couldn't see. They where like utter fools, struggling so hard but yet making no progress. They were going round and round a circle, the vicious circle of foolishness.

But suddenly a light came (John 1:4-9), a light so bright but yet dim because of the thickness of darkness. Many gathered around this light, for the first time in thousands of years men eyes were open. "The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light," (Matt 4:16) indeed they have and it was liberating. But something surprising happened, a great number of people in the world ran away from the light. They were afraid, irritated by the light, they prefer darkness and they stay away from the light.

But why? What is wrong with men? It was then discovered that "men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." (John 3:19-20). But the light has come to stay and won't leave until it multiply, yes it would multiply and fill the whole world. But how is it going to multiply? The light will fill men with himself (Eph 1:23), so that men would not just have light among them but they would also become light and through them many more would have a revelation of the light. All they have to do is believe in the light (John 12:36), this is the greatest news of all time. But darkness won't sit back and do nothing... "And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness could not overpower it." (John 1:5).

Darkness failed, it doesn't have any power over light. But yet darkness won't give up, it went further to cause even greater darkness upon the world. The darkness in the world got unbearably thick. What darkness failed to realize is that light has come to take over, it refuses to have any place for darkness in this world. For the whole world must be filled with nothing else but light. Therefore the Chief Light has given His command:

"Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising." (Isa 60:1-2).

Yes! It is time to shine, we have slept for too long. Get up! Come out from your hiding place! Shake off the dirt, the filthiness and shine! For we shall give darkness no more chance, we refuse to let darkness remain and the world shall be filled with nothing else but the light of the glorious One.
