and can you build one with the following specs; 16gb ram, 4.0ghz processor speed, 3TB memory, 1920 x 1080 resolution, overclockable Intel Core i7-4790K, dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M, 6-in-1 Push-Push Card reader, 1 x HDMI output port (with HDCP), 3 x USB 3.0 ports (1 x powered USB port, AC/DC), 1 x USB 3.1 port, 32GB Dual Channel DDR4 Memory, Dual M.2 Drives, 2 x Hard Drive, 1 x Headphone jack, 1 x RJ-45 LAN port etc don't mind me, its meant to last for a while and also suit gaming purposes. 1 Like |

jaz: This will definitely be a beast of a gaming PC. Special consideration will have to go into it due to the Processor and Graphics cards but its definitely one to build. I'd advice one 4TB hard drive rather than 2 hard drives. Also you quoted 2 different RAM sizes 32GB and 16 GB. But definitely a PC you should build rather than buy. 1 Like |

my apologies for the contradiction in RAM size. i meant 32GB. also can the processor speed be increased further upwards from 4Ghz. i want to know if you can build one. its supposed to be for both work and play and should last quite some time before i consider replacement or upgrade. so if you can build a desktop as such how much would be your quote. you can send me a mail to adzabaz@yahoo.co.uk so we can discuss further. warm regards. lawrence7: |
Re: Build Rather Than Buy A Desktop PC by lawrence7: 8:25pm On Sep 15, 2015 |
jaz: Okay. I know its possible but due to the quality you require it'll take some research to get you a proper quotation so please give me till the close of work on Thursday (48 Hrs) and i'll send you a mail with the best prices on offer. Depending on the exact processor we can get we may be able to overclock beyond 4Ghz although the main consideration remains heat as this will affect the lifespan of the components but we'll take all that into consideration. |

Hi, this is just what I've been looking for. I am looking to build a desktop system that is optimized to handle a high level virtualization for lab purposes. So, my ideal build would be: 32GB DDR4 HyperX RAM, 256GB Solid State Primary Drive, 1TB Hard disk to serve as secondary storage, Intel Core i7-4790K processor, USB 3.0 ports, 2 x 1Gbps Ethernet LAN card, optionally DVD-Drive and HDMI interface. No Graphics card, no OS, no monitor. I would like to get this as soon as possible. Will really appreciate a quotation and a timeline for delivery. |

kdecifer: Good day sir, I'll get to work on the parts you've listed and get back to you with a complete list. Went through your specs and i'd like to say that the Intel Core I7-4790k Does not support DDR4 Ram. |
Re: Build Rather Than Buy A Desktop PC by kdecifer: 3:17pm On Oct 27, 2015 |
Well, the RAM being DDR4 does not really matter to me as long as the processor is i7-4790k and the ram stays at 32GB. lawrence7: |
