Following the Retirement of Ajibola Afonja as the Chairman of the board of First bank of Nigeria, First Bank has appointed it’s first female Chairman Ibukun Awosika as the new Chairman of the board. Ibukun Awosika will be resuming as Chairman starting 1st January, 2016. Ibukun Awosika prior to this time is the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ), as well as the Chairman of Intermac, the organizers of Smart Card Conference in Nigeria.
