Bury the wires.

Making our electricity power supply run in underground tunnels like the GSM networks do for their system....instead of using poles.....would end tragic things like this.It would also make power supply stable....as the wires are now insulated from weather issues/changes in the weather.

Nigeria....bury the wires.

So long as you have mediocres in places of authority, this is what u would keep getting. Who is to be sued in this case? God help us, that could have been anyone else.

This option is almost too late. Thousands of homes may have to give way for that kind of expensive project. Plus we can hardly afford it! That's the price we pay for having leaders without vision and forward thinking.

Nations are usually planned hundreds of years into the future. Unfortunately, ours is not the case.

It's just sad. I was at Tejuosho few months back watching a truck trying to drive past some cables. The passenger had to climb to the back of the truck with a long stick which he used to lift the cables until the truck could pass through.
You can imagine doing this all the way until you're on a free way undecided

we can afford it... Satellite town and some Festac town houses all use underground armored cables to supply electricity to buildngs.

Have you imagined doing same for places like Ajegunle, Ijora? We've wasted that opportunity.

look we can do it once the will power is there... Singapore did it. They might not be as big as Lagos in population but they did it.

Also as a major precaution when u are in a vehicle and has live wire in contact, NEVER get out of the vehicle. The body of the vehicle is live on the outer surface because the vehicle is not earthed being on an insulator (tyre).
So if you get out your body being a conductor shall complete the electrical circuit upon your feet touching the floor or moving close to the ground if you wear a shoe.

Cost is astronomical, you can hardly pay if it's done that way. The most developed nation still have most of their distribution cable running overhead.
