I have seen this before but this kind of traffic jam happens "once in 3 years here"( I was told). I can't imagine moving from my departure point since 1pm yesterday and still here 3pm today. The traffic is actually on the road since yesterday. It is locked, no movement! This road is a death trap, I can't imagine why it has been neglected by the government since this while. This is the state of the sitting president of the senate and yet, it has not even been mentioned. I've gotten to Ilorin since 9pm yesterday and as I type this my point is still bode saa'du(3:03 pm) I know the some government officials pass through here, pls its now a problem. we can't bear it. just come to our aid ( not all of you fly). This traffic is from olooru( Ilorin) down to jebba and its been locked. no movement! I'm just stranded here, can't bath, can't eat good food and not even fine ladies... ( scratch that last, I'm no womanizer ). cc. Seun lalasticlala all Nairalanders From: Drabeey 6 Likes 2 Shares

Whats the cause of this mysterious traffic jam that happens once every 3 years? The one I know of happens every year and thats because of those abokís and mallams selling sallah ram around the old jebb road, ilorin. 3 Likes |

No be today. That's one hell of a road & a nightmare to travellers using the road. That road & abia state roads dey compete but I think this one is far worse. I've experienced the traffic more than once while I was still serving in Ilorin early this year. Its majorly Heavy duty vehicles that ply that road. The number of small cars plying that road can be counted. One thing I respect about the northen drivers who ply that road is their patience. Once they see that the traffic has started building up, they will just maintain their trucks on one lane following each other while you see the smaller cars trying to maneuver their way. It was a funny experience the first time I passed the road to Jebba. You need to have seen me. Been the first time i travelled via a truck(mini truck), I wasn't just myself. At times the truck will bend as if it wants to fall & I will just hold the seat tight & bend towards the opposite direction the truck bent hoping that my weight will make it not to fall off. Lol . The driver was just laughing at me coz he was already used to it. That day, I so much wished I never visited. Thank GOD i didn't experience the traffic that day if not that will have been my last time of visiting Jebba. While The first time I experienced the traffic, I was like, Oh my GOD, hope I won't sleep on the road I thank GOD I still reached Jebba before night fall that day. Nevertheless, I later got used to it until I left Kwara state. I hope this Government will bring CHANGE to the road ASAP. Afterall, Kwara State is an APC controlled state 11 Likes |
