It depends on a whole lot of things... A foundation in a swampy environment would cost more, secondly how many storey are u lookin at, how many bedrooms... it takes a lot than just to give an estimate. Meet a good quantity surveyor/architect to figure that out... meanwhile there are three types of foundation. The foundations of the building transfer the weight of the building to the ground. While 'foundation' is a general word, normally, every building has a number of individual foundations, commonly called footings. Since the weight of the building rests on the soil (or rock), engineers have to study the properties of the soil very carefully to ensure that it can carry the loads imposed by the building. A house? What type? Bungalow? Flat? Duplex? Rooms? You have to specify all these. And if possible, a visit to the property will help to give you accurate quote. |
