Fun Things To Do This Sallah Weekend by MyZoto: 5:14pm On Sep 23, 2015
Around this time every year, Nigerians far and wide get excited, because not only is there the long weekend to look forward to, but the generous portions of Sallah ram meat distributed by Muslim friends is always a delight. This time around, rather than just binging on delicious Sallah meat and TV, why not take out time to have some fun?
Zoto, your number one recharge app has put together some things you can do this Sallah weekend:

1. Lekki Leisure Lake

If you’re one of the beach lovers, the Lekki Leisure Lake, a lake-side resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is one of the fun places to visit in Lagos. The beach also featured numerous recreational activities such as jet skiing, quad biking, pedal boat riding etc, and so is a fun place to go hang out with family or friends. Entrance fee: Adult N1000 and children N500.
2. Lekki Conservation Center

So hanging out with wildlife in a natural habitat is your thing? Well you should visit the conservation center then! The boulevard of coconut trees is a romantic place to stroll and there are lots of places for picnic, kids playground and open grasslands for animals like bushbucks, mongooses, hogs and lots more. Entrance Fee: Adults – N1000

3. Freedom Park

The Freedom Park is equal parts gallery, museum, open air stage, amphitheatre & hang out spot. So if any of these activities rock your boat, you should definitely check out the park this weekend. Most of the events that take place here are fee but the entrance fee is N200.

4. New Afrika Shrine

Ahh this is one of realest joints in town. The Shrine is famed for schooling people on how to really shake their body, learn more about Fela and get a contact high. Though Fela Kuti's original Shrine was burnt down, this replacement run by his children is possibly the best show in town. Femi Kuti plays free on Thursday nights and does a paid show on Sundays. Fela's most approximate reincarnation, the younger Seun Kuti, plays the last Saturday of the month. Snacks, ice cream, palm wine, and more are on offer and smoking is encouraged.

5. Catch Up With Friends

With our often busy schedules, it can become hard to make time out to call frieds and find out what’s going on in their lives. This weekend, try to squeeze in some time to call your friends and you never know which might have gotten married, had a kid or even changed jobs. Recharge your phone with Zoto to stay connected.

6. Go Karting At The Get Arena

If speed is your thing, check out the Go Karting track at the GET situated just at a walking distance from Four Point Hotel in Oniru Estate, Lekki.

7. Try Some Paintballing

Paintballing is not just for the kids, you and your family can go on and win the fun war. You don’t have to be need an expert war strategist, or perfect marksman, all you need are family and friends, paint balls and gear, and there you go, it is one hell of a great time.

8. Go on a cruise

What’s the point of living in an island city like Lagos if you won’t take a cruise once in a while? You can have the best of two worlds if you take a Prest Cruise, get to see the beautiful sights of Lagos while having a delicious buffet dinner or lunch. It’s an awesome experience for partners on a romantic dinner or friends marking a memorable day or night-out.
