Wale Oyejide is as bold as they come. The Nigerian-born fashion revolutionist is the founder of the authentic menswear brand Ikire Jones, a Philadelphia based menswear brand, dedicated to making carefully tailored West African inspired clothing. After finding that there was a void in the menswear industry, Oyéjidé took matters into his own hands. He began creating clothing for secure, forward-thinking men who wanted to rock an original style.

Oyéjidé’s unique clothing line reflects his own cultural make-up. Half of Ikire Jones is named for his father’s village in Nigeria, while the other half is named for his American wife’s maiden name. The fabric choice is wax cotton, a traditional choice for African clothing. The line, made up mostly of vibrantly colored jackets is for the bold and brave only.
