POLICE have killed three kidnappers in a
shoot-out in Anambra State last
week. Anambra’s Commissioner of Police,
Hosea Karma has however, vowed to
smoke out all criminals from their hideouts
in the state.
Anambra State Police Spokesman, DSP
Okechukwu Ali made the disclosure during
the weekend while briefing reporters at the
state SARS headquarters in Awkuzu.
He disclosed that a woman and her
teenage daughter were arrested for
allegedly keeping in their custody, a three-
year old daughter of one Pastor Nwele who
was kidnapped by a four-man gang and
were negotiating a ransom payment before
their arrest.
While displaying the corpse of the three
kidnap kingpins with some arms and
ammunitions recovered from various
robbery and kidnap gangs, Okechukwu gave
the name of one of dead three-man gang
as Chukwuemeka Ilo, while two others
were yet to be identified.
He also paraded two other members of a
kidnap gang who were arrested by the
police while negotiating for a ransom of
some workers of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
who they kidnapped in far away Lagos
State and came down to Anambra state to
negotiate for their ransom, adding that one
Chukwuebuka Ohams from Owerri, Imo
State was arrested for threatening to
kidnap one Dr. Nwokolo if he fails to
surrender the documents of his landed
property to them.
Meanwhile, more than 3,000 villagers
residing at home and abroad converged
during the weekend at the home of Onyishi
Eze nwa Idoko, the oldest man in Amaja
community, Enugu- Ezike , Igbo- Eze North
local government area, Enugu state over
the gruesome murder of Marcel and Ja
cinta Aba Ossai .
The couple was murdered in their sleep
and their throats slit with a sharp knife like
goats last Monday by yet to be identified
killers.
Angry villagers comprising women, old men
and youths during their deliberation over
the heinous crime described the killing as
“one too many that cannot be wished away
just like that.”
The general assembly convoked at the
instance of the traditional ruler of the
community, Igwe Ignatius Atlas Idoko
vowed to get to the root of the matter by
engaging all the relevant security agencies
to fish out the killers and ensure that the
perpetrators will not go unpunished.

Cool. They are trying unlike Lagos state police officers that are either dead drunk in the gutters, shooting sporadically at innocent people, shooting themselves over a woman, shooting at drivers over 100naira, harassing innocent citizens with their guns in drunken states or may even end up sparing those three dead kidnappers and shooting the 3year old. Thumbs up officers. 1 Like |
