Google surprised everyone at its San Francisco event yesterday, when it revealed its first in-house designed tablet called the
Pixel C .
The Pixel C is a 10.2-inch challenger to Cupertino and Redmond’s iPad Pro and Surface tablets respectively, with a 308 ppi display and super-bright backlight capable of 500 nits. It boasts high-end features and a new $149 detachable smart Bluetooth keyboard that affixes to the back of the tablet.
According to Google, the new tablet runs on
Android Marshmallow , sporting an Nvidia Tegra X1 quad-core chip, Maxwell GPU and 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM for swift processing of things.
And Just like the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P , it uses the USB Type-C connector for fast charging and syncing, that’s shareable with the Nexus phones and it’ll also be available for sale in 32GB and 64GB storage configurations in the Google Store
There’s no word on when it’ll be released to international markets, but the Pixel C will start selling at $499 for the 32GB model and $599 for the 64GB variant.
