PRACTICAL MENTORING SERIES 1

WORTH

Consistent consciousness of your worth insulates you from any form of intimidation or demoralization. A man/woman of valuable worth considers sycophancy and “eye service” to be alien practice, these are left for the desperates and mediocres whose value is questionable.

No matter your present circumstance, wake up each morning reminding yourself of your true worth. Beam the brightest smile you can muster and tell yourself how loaded and talented you are.

Articulate and document all your significant achievements in life as a testament to your worth and re-assure yourself that if you could achieve all these previously, you could do much better.

Identify all your areas of strengths and set higher goals for yourself.

Boldly and confidently assert your self-worth in any instance of confrontation or where your value/worth is called to question.

NEVER EVER sulk or let anyone get away with downgrading or demeaning your value.

You take full responsibility for protecting, defending and asserting your worth. Nobody will do this for you. Whatever price tag you place on yourself or permit to be placed on you, remains so. It is a much more difficult task to rebuild your personal worth/value when you allow it to be demeaned.

You could hardly be polite in defending your worth. Firmly resist any attempt by anyone to belittle you. If you have to scream or give a stern warning, do it. Trust me, when you do it once, you have sent the right signal and everyone would naturally fall into place.

You have to be extremely careful about the words you utter/write, places you go, things you do, your choice of friends, your religious and moral disposition and even your opinion on sensitive topics.

Maintain a clean public profile and be mindful of your social activity online. The internet never forgets!!
Avoid criminal indictment of any kind and never associate yourself on a personal level with anyone of known criminal or moral disrepute.

If anyone dislikes you for over asserting your worth, please dissociate from such people quickly. They are not your class. You would find your class pretty soon.

Show respect and courtesy to people.
Be humble but always confident.
Give compliments.
Make life easy for people.
Let people TRUST you. There is nothing in this world as important as that
Always apologize when you go wrong. Don’t explain it away by arguments
Say NO and mean NO. People should know that your NO is not negotiable.

Fly high!
