Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau has again failed to appear in a new video released by the sect on Wednesday BBC reports.
The video which was posted on BBC’s Twitter handle today, shows the members of the deadly group pledging allegiance to Islamic State, also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS).
A man who spoke on behalf of the insurgents, however said that Boko Haram was still under the leadership of Shekau, who was last seen in February.
He countered the fact that several insurgents had surrendered to the Nigerian army.
The insurgent also said it was untrue that the army had released some women and children abducted by the sect.
According to the stand-in Boko Haram spokesperson, Nigerian troops, having failed on the battlefield, are now waging the war through the media.

Shekau was killed in GEJ's administration but many fail to appreciate that.
Shekau was bold,rude,deadly but he was brought down.

Why search ye for the dead?

We should rather focus on the acts of his followers who deadlier by the day.

I wonder why the APC led FG will bring the army so low that they will be paying some group of boys who claim to be Boko Haram members to surrender all in an attempt to siphon funds through amnesty for the boys.

Why not allow the army to do what it knows best?

I totally disagree with u mr psucc because u can't confirm the fact that some boys were paid to appear as surrendering that is to say that the Nig. Army aint doing enough to win the insurgency war.

However, I agree that the actions of the 'New' BH boys be kept in check as they seem more injurious daily than under both mohammed yusuf and Shekau.

Boko are rams are fighting propaganda with propaganda.
Their days are numbered via amnesty.
