Illiteracy, lack of civilization. In the civilized climes where they have very strong and technology driven military institutions yet, military are under the control of the civilian. That is what to be expected a military that is weak. That is why African states are prone to military coup, human rights abuse. Can you hear these things in the developed nations that have strong military institutions with sophiscated weapons? What we just witnessed is an epitome of weakness of nigerian military. All they can do is to flexing muscle with the civilians. I have said it several times, it is time Nigeria stop recruiting ilitrates and uneducated to our military. It seems these officers still carry the mentality of the era of military rule.

This very very bad...talking about human rights violation....The Nigerian military needs to take a critical look at this growing trend especially after being accused of the same crime by Amnesty international and other human rights bodies.... An army personnel was pictured maltreating this civilian in Oshodi. Lagos on Thursday afternoon for an unknown reason....Whatever the reason might be, this is the wrongest way to go about it especially from an officer who should know better.....

that's how its meant to be...No Military, No Country! The socalled civilians at times behave less than cattles so they need the rod to put them back in place. Name one country that has a military power but don't discipline civilians and I'd buy u MB for ur phone.

The military ought to breed professionals to protect the citizens.Their paramount duty is to protect the nation not to bully the citizens.
