GOOGLE BEGINS ROLLOUT OF ANDROID 6.0 MARSHMALLOW

Google has began the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Nexus 5 , Nexus 6 , Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 devices. The update brings improve features such as a new app drawer and a rotating home screen , a battery optimisation system called Doze Mode.

ANDROID ONE DEVICES GETS ANDROID MARSHMALLOW UPDATE

Just like they did with Nexus , Google is also rolling out Android Marshmallow update on Android One smartphones. The update is already available to Android One users in India and Bangladesh and a global rollout is expected soon.

YOU CAN NOW BACKUP WHATSAPP CHAT HISTORY TO GOOGLE DRIVE

A recent update on Whatsapp messenger now includes the ability to backup chat history to Google Drive. With this feature in place , you can be sure to never lose your chat history , even when you switch to a new smartphone.

FACEBOOK WILL BRING LOW COST INTERNET TO SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA

Facebook has announced a partnership with Eutelsat communications, a French satellite communications operator, to bring low cost internet to Sub-Saharan Africa.

Facebook and Eutelsat will bring internet to large parts of Sub-Saharan Africa through an AMOS-6 satellite that will be launched into the orbit. The satellite will link terminals in Africa to dedicated internet Gateways in Italy , France and Israel.

SAMSUNG LAUNCHES GALAXY NOTE 5 IN NIGERIA

At an event in Lekki , Lagos , Samsung Electronics unveiled its Galaxy Note 5 Phablet in Nigeria. The beautifully designed Note 5 flaunts a 5.7-inch screen with QHD Super AMOLED display, which allows for clearer videos and images. Note 5 also comes with 4GB RAM , 32GB Internal storage and 3,000mAh battery.

WHO KILLED ECONET NIGERIA?

A Big truth was revealed his week!. The founder of Econet Nigeria finally decided to open up on why the telecommunications network failed in Nigeria. The death of Econet Nigeria was orchestrated by some corrupt senior politicians in the Government. That was many years ago.

ANDROID LOLLIPOP IS NOW ON 23.5% OF ANDROID SMARTPHONES

Earlier this week , Google released the latest statistics of Android smartphones in the market. Android Lollipop has continued to experience growth and is now sitting on 23.5% of Android smartphones world wide.

Meanwhile Android Kitkat is still most used Android Operating system , with 38.9% of the total Android devices.


AMAZON ADDS NIGERIA AND 75 OTHER COUNTRIES TO ITS SHIPPING LIST

Amazon has added Nigeria and 75 other countries to its shipping list. Which means you can now buy from Amazon and the product will be shipped directly to your doorstep in Nigeria.

While this is definately goodnews , do have it in mind that shipping fees are a little bit expensive.

INSTEAD OF DISLIKE , FACEBOOK IS GIVING US "REACTIONS"

We were all hoping to see a "Dislike" button on Facebook , but this is unlikely to happen. Instead , Facebook is adding a new feature called "Reactions". With this feature , Users can react to stories by using any of the emojis below.



Apparently , Facebook is worried that a "Dislike" button would be misused by people. Maybe that's why they opted for "Reactions" instead of "Dislike".
