Airtel *440*161# 1,500 For 6gb Is Actually 3gb On Android by codest(m): 5:29am On Aug 12, 2016
I subscribed to this plan on Friday 5th August and i was told i had 6gb left when i checked my balance.

Now I got an alert yesterday that I have used up 95% of my data allowance.

This means that the pan is actually 3gb. I still don't understand why Airtel is being this fraudulent??

Here are pics to serve as evidence.

I have always suspected this promo, cos I guess that the first sms I received on the promo said it was for Bb users but later on,they rephrased by saying 'useable on all devices'.
I also tweeted to confirm but guess the reply I got? 'Hello @ ...... please note that the stated data bundle can be used on all data enabled devices. Thank you.' And that was when I know it's a scam!!!

the code doesn't even work on all SIMs.

I guess it works on selected SIM to which the eligibility message was sent.

Airtel remains my best so far in data service.

Wow, to think that was even in a hurry to finish my subscription so that i will quickly jump to this one.
I don't know AIRTEL for this kine thing.
I will still choose them over empty hen,glo and etisalat when it comes to festival of data. They still understand and have more youth friendly subscription than the rest.

I don't know y airtel is unstable with their deals. Even their 2G 2gb for N200 has suddenly changed from 2 weeks (14days) to 10 days. Something I can't even use up to 50% in d two weeks

Never trust Airtel Data. The most honest with data is GLO, it is such a pity that their network is not so good in some areas. So, we are left with MTN.

The airtel plan is for blackberry OS 6.0 and below when it was rolled out, but as it worked for Android then and airtel didn't want to block it, it was decided that if you are using it on non BB device, it will be double billing.

The actual code is *440*16# then airtel came with the double recharge promo at the same #1500 for 6gig valid for 60days with *440*161# but eligibility was not always, if you sub normal in January, you may be eligible February but won't have the chance for the next subscription month.

As many started buying this data, airtel now turned it to 30days for the 2 for 1 offer, which really annoyed customers then.

To check eligibility then we used *440*440# but even till now, it's double billing for non BB phones especially when you are downloading.

LOL Even the airtel #1500 for 3gb usable on all devices is just 1.5gig. It doesn't last for up to one week. Airtel network is not too bad, but they should give one the value of his hard earned money.

My brother take heart, this is Nigeria for you. The Nigeria of today where the regulatory agencies are dead to their duties, the Nigeria of today where it's quantity over quality .
What do you expect when the ogas at the top are either too old to understand the realities or too dull to know wosup. Right from our Pro-jihadist Minister of communication to the NCC chairman who is too old to know what to do, and the EVC who we aren't sure if he isn't more than just a figure head.
Same applies to power banks whose installed capacity is just a third of the advertised capacity.
Ever since Ernest Ndukwe left office, na so so rubbish Telecom firms dey give Nigerians .

SO TRUE. WHY DECEIVE PEOPLE

Data Zapping

There was this plan we used before that gives 3GB worth of data on Airtel for N1500 (Subscription code is *440*16#), also usable on all but here is the problem ยป This plan zaps data, twice as much. Which means; 3GB is literally 1.5GB.
Why am I saying this? Airtel have have this new plan to entice us but I doubt if they are honest, the said data plan worth 6GB could be 3GB if properly studied via your data usage meter. This plan could be susceptible to data zapping.
