NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THE NUMBER OF EGGS  YOU EATS IN A WEEK

Except for people who are vulnerable to high cholesterol level, which is linked to increased risk of coronary heart disease, health experts say there is no need to worry about the number of eggs an individual eats in a week. According to these experts the cholesterol found in egg is not only small, but with a clinically insignificant effect on blood cholesterol.

Juliet Gray, a public health nutritionist, carried out the research and was co authored by Bruce Griffin, a professor of nutritional metabolism. University of surrey, United Kingdom. They posit that other factors such as smoking, lack of exercise, and being overweight are linked to high levels of cholesterol with fat from food being the main culprit and not cholesterol found in egg.

But Gray and Griffin are not alone in their finding. British Heart Foundation, BHF, has equally revised its in early advice on the number o eggs that an individual can eat in a week. Victoria Taylor, a dietician at BHF, says the foundation recommends egg as part of balanced diet, “If you need to reduce your blood cholesterol level, it is more important that you down on the amount of saturated fat in your diet from foods like fatty meat, full fat dairy products, cakes biscuits and pastries,” Taylor said www.dietfousline.com for more articles
