Director General ,
National youth Service Corp,
Abuja.

Dear sir,
REQUEST FOR OUR INEC HONORARIUM FROM EDO STATE CORDINATOR
We wish to write you about the nonchalant attitude of NYSC officials here in Edo state to you.
For two consecutive times, we have written politely to the state coordinator in person of Mrs. Akyam. A. J. hereby about our outstanding INEC honorarium which is due to be paid to us and in which, to each of the letter been sent, a copy of it was forwarded to the NYSC headquarters , Abuja, but none has been heard after wards. This now prompted us in writing you now personally.
It is with a good intention for us to work as INEC ad hoc staff during the general election, but it is really surprising that despite all our effort during the election period, we are still being owed by NYSC. We comported ourselves during the election, we exercise our rights; we followed the instruction given to us by NYSC in making sure that we represent the body and also to make the election be free and fair. Some enjoyed a hitch free polling units while others were humiliated in their various units. We stood our ground even when the pressure was high from the electorate due to card reader failure; we try to speak to them in making sure that their aggression is not transferred to us because they are in a haste to cast their vote and now, Election has come and gone. At the end of this tussle, our honorarium has been withheld and in which it has been a sad moment and sad national experience to us. We were told that the money that is supposed to be paid for those that actually worked was wrongly paid for those that never worked. We have been told to submit our bank statement on two occasions and also attached necessary documents to prove that we actually worked. These were done in other to checkmate the defaulters. Ever since then, we have not heard about the progress, how much has been retrieved and when will the money be paid.
We hereby wish to appeal to you sir, in helping us find a lasting solution in the payment of our entitlement as you also know that our passing out parade is 15th October, 2015 and October allawee will be the last to be received for corpers. We strongly believe in your office sir and also in your vision in which we have inculcated in our various place of primary assignments. If we had known that it will take this long for them to rectify the problem, we would have mailed you personally long time ago and we also believe that it is not too late for you to help in the collection of our Federal Government outstanding honorarium.
Also, most of us corpers may never have any reason to stay back in Benin after passing out on 15th, October 2015 and no one will be asking for his or her honorarium after POP as there may not be time. We have decided to keep our identity as always.
Thanks in Anticipation

For two times now, we have sent mails to the state coordinator and in which she aknowledge the letter though not by replying back but through the zonal inspector to address it and dat was in august. My mails where never replied because we did not include the identity of the sender as said by the Z.I. On on this two occasions, a copy of my messages has been send to the DG himself through the official nysc email and through twitter but nothing has been heard from the headquarters, no response to acknowledgement from them. The original of this letter was also sent to the DG, but we have not heard anything from them and we will be passing out tomorrow. This now.made me to copy same message on nairaland with the hope that an official of NYSC may see it and probably with the hope of pushing this letter to front page.

Thanks op for this update... we can't wait to collect our money ooo. this is the only last hope we've got cos we will be passing out tomorrow by God's grace and majority will have nothing more doing here in Benin.
We are tired of their posting ooo and dis is a national service disappointment. We worked during the election despite the humiliation and some people wants to sit on our Federal government Inec honorarium. God is seeing you all ooo embarassed
We want our voices to be heard if it can be moved to FP plz at Mod.
Thanks
