Please nairalanders, when i try to start up windows task manager it tells me it has been disabled by administrator. Also if i try to register some applications it tells me registry tool has been disabled by my administrator. Please I need to know how to solve this problems. Thanks

a virus has disabled them all, so run an antivirus or format ur system.

yep definitely virus infection; however just cleaning out the virus won't fix your problem, you might have

The best option for you is to format your system. The system has been infected by a virus that affects the dir. If u noticed, it has also disabled your command prompt. So you just format. goodluck!

on what grounds did u conclude on formatting,
several options are available to have caused that:
1, it might not be his computer,maybe he is just trying to gain access to restricted areas(are u aware i can even disable F8 on startup and u wont have access to SAFE MODE, its very possible to disable everything in gpedit.msc,
2, is the trojan, no matter what,an antivirus is capable of removing it/restoring ur registry, trust kaspersky, very good tolerance, also, superantivirus(as it says, catch trojans, not just the easy ones),
solution:
1, download HIJACKTHIS ans run it in safe mode(press f8 on startup)
2, the 04 entries specify the processes currently running in the memory, when u find an illegal entry, select it and press fix, be care what u delete, if ur unsure, post a report of hijackthis here and i will interprete it for u,
3, or simply remove ur harddisk, place in an external hard disk enclosure and scan on a clean system with kaspersky(latest updates), salinity trojan and win32.pakes.cob trojan are responsible for registry hijacks too,
4, or simply find the program xp_taskmgrenab.exe (a tool used to enable/disable taskmanager), im sorry i cant attach it here now,
