GOLDEN Eaglets Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, has revealed that his wards have been primed to absorb everything hosts, Chile, would throw at them during today’s second group match at the on-going FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Vina del Mar.

The Nigerians began their campaign at the competition with a 2-0 defeat of the United States, but Amuneke acknowledges that the hosts, with the expected massive home support, would be tougher than the Americans.

The Golden Eaglets arrived at the match city, Vina del Mar, on Sunday their second Group A match, which broadcast rights holders, StarTimes, has announced will start from midnight.

Speaking on the preparedness of his team for the game, Amuneke said, “To win the World Cup, a team must play seven matches and as such, we must not get carried away and be complacent because we beat the USA.
“The match against Chile would be tougher and we want to approach the match with seriousness and high sense of responsibility. We have to be focused because there would be no margin for errors against Chile on Tuesday.”

Amuneke’s boys are leading the group table on three points after Saturday’s games, with Chile and Croatia on one point apiece following their 1-1 opening draw.

The Golden Eaglets had a feel of the Sausalito Stadium yesterday as mandated by the rules and regulations guiding the championship.

Nigeria’s match against Chile will be preceded by another Group A clash involving the U.S and Croatia.
According to the broadcast plan by StarTimes, the U.S will meet Croatia by 9.00 p.m. Nigerian time, while the Golden Eaglets will met Chile by 12.00 midnight.

All the teams will play their last group games simultaneously on Friday, with Nigeria facing Croatia, while the U.S will battle with Chile.

Coach Emmanuel Amuneke has warned his wards to expect a dogfight against Chile in their second match at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup Chile 2015 at the Sausalito Stadium in Vina del Mar today.
The Golden Eaglets on Monday morning trained at the Enap Oil Company Training Centre in Con-Con district of the beautiful city where all the 21 players were involved to perfect strategy for the match.
“Tomorrow’s match (today) against Chile is a crucial game and you must expect a dog fight,” hinted Amuneke. “But we must approach the match with discipline and responsibility; we must be ready to fight for 90 minutes.”
