Presented By IZUCHUKWU OKOSI: GOAL VINCENT ENYEAMA Erstwhile Super Eagles captain Vincent Enyeama was impressive in Lille's 2-1 slim defeat against Olympique Marseille on Sunday. Enyeama had 41 touches of the ball and 62.1% ball distribution. DEFENCE NIKOLAS NKOLOU Indomitable Lions of Cameroon central defender Nikolas Nkolou was impressive in Marseille's 2-1 win against Lille. The defender played for 90 minutes though was booked in the game. Nkolou made one tackle, three interceptions, four clearances, blocked one shot and committed one foul. Overall Nkolou had 41 touches of the ball and had 75.8% pass accuracy. GBENGA AROKOYO Nigeria'd Gbenga Arokoyo was one of the outstanding players on the pitch as his Turkish Super Lig side Gaziantepspor defeated Mersin 1-0 at home over the weekend. The former Flying Eagles star made two interceptions, one tackle and seven clearances. Overall he had 43 touches of the ball, won two aerial contests and had 81.8% pass accuracy. ELDERSON ECHIEJILE Super Eagles left-back Elderson Echiejile was brilliant in Monaco's 1-0 away win against Reims. The defender made seven defensive tackles, four interceptions and two clearances. He blocked one shot, made 25 completed passes and had five crosses into the opposition box. MIDFIELD STEPHANE BADJI Senegal's Stephane Badji had a good game in Istanbul Basaksehir's 4-0 home win over Konyaspor on Sunday. The 25-year-old centre-back played for 90 minutes in the game. Badji made two tackles, two interceptions and made one clearance. He committed two fouls in the game which he played from start to finish. OGENYI ONAZI Super Eagles star Ogenyi Onazi played in a double defensive midfield position alongside Argentina's Lucas Biglia in Lazio's 3-0 home win against Torino on Sunday. Onazi made two tackles in front of the defence line, one interception and three clearances. The Eagles assistant captain completed 48 passes which was 81.3% accurate. ANDRE AYEW Black Stars of Ghana midfielder Andre Dede Ayew scored the winning goal for Swansea in their 2-1 away win against Aston Villa. The Ghana international scored in the 87th minute of the game. His younger brother, Jordan, had scored the first goal of the game for their opponents, Villa, 25 minutes earlier. The son of Ghana football legend, Abedi Pele Ayew, the skilful midfielder had 43 touches of the ball, made 40 completed passes which was 70% pass accuracy. GERVINHO Cote d' Ivoire forward Gervinho was on target for AS Roma on Saturday in their 2-1 away win against Fiorentina. The Ivorian scored in the 34th minute of the game to double their lead after Egypt's Mohamed Salah had scored the opener to help them climb to the top of the Serie A table. Gervinho had 80% pass accuracy and had 30 touches of the ball in the match. The 2015 African Cup of Nations winner completed 15 passes and made two crosses. ATTACK ODION IGHALO Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo did not score but he provided the two assists that led to Watford's goals in their 2-0 away win against Stoke City. Ighalo plays behind the front two in our African Team of the Week and had three shots on target, made three key passes. He made 24 passes with 75% pass accuracy and had 38 touches of the ball. ANTHONY UJAH Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah's name was back on the scoreboard after a drought. Ujah scored a brace in Weder Bremen's 3-1 away win over FSV Mainz on Saturday. The Nigerian, the Man of the Match in the game, was on target in the 39th and 44th minutes of the game. He had 29 touches of the ball, completed 22 passes which was 59.1% accuracy and won three aerial contests. PIERRE EMERICK AUBAMEYANG Gabon international Pierre Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick when Borrusia Dortmund thrashed Augsburg 5-1 on Sunday. Aubameyang was the Man of the Match in the game.
