According to unofficial sources, we have been informed that Tecno’s latest addition to the Phantom series, the Phantom 5 is in line to receive an update to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Phantom came loaded with the Lollipop version and users will soon be able to receive Over The Air (OTA) update to enjoy the offering of Google’s latest Android version. While there has been concerns about Tecno devices not being able to get OTA updates, it has been observed that updates are gradually rolling in on the Boom J7, the Camon C8 and the Phantom 5. However these OTA updates only improves overall system performance but not an upgrade to the Android version. While we await these updates to begin rolling out on the Phantom 5, it will be more interesting if other devices such as the Camon C8 gets an OS bump to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
