28 Websites That Can Teach You A Lot For Free BY DAVID ADELEKE INTERNET, LINKED LISTOCTOBER 22, 2015 Having the internet has opened us up to lots of new things. Now you don’t have to go to school or open a book to learn a lot about a lot of things. All you need is an internet-enabled device and internet connection and you’re good to go. There are so many websites you can log onto and have access to an ocean of knowledge. What’s more? A lot of these websites offer knowledge for free. Who doesn’t like freebies? Here are 28 websites where you can learn a lot, for free. Finance/Accounting 1. Wall Street Survivor Wall Street Survivor is a website where you can learn how to invest in stocks. Their mission is simply to demystify investing and personal finance through interactive and comprehensive education. How-to 2. Wikihow You know the saying “all things are possible”? Wikihow epitomizes it, in some way. You can learn how to do almost anything on Wikihow, from how to train your bird to how to get a smaller waist. I learned how to pitch ideas from some of the lessons there. Language & Vocabulary 3. Duolingo I’m currently learning German on Duolingo (don’t ask me why I chose German). So far, it has been fun. Es ist wunderbar. 4. Lingvist.io Lingvist’s value proposition is that you can learn any language in 200 hours, no matter the level you are at. 5. Memrise Memrise is a website where you can learn different languages. It uses science to adapt your learning to your preferred style and performance. So it learns as you do too. You can also play word games to test yourself. Online Courses 9. Coursera Coursera offers free online courses in a host of fields. I’m currently taking Brand Management classes from London Business School, via Coursera. And it’s free. 10.
