First gist!!  Oya!!

ARSENAL LADIES Are FA CUP CHAMPIONS OF England!! beating Sunderland chicks  2-1 in the final.

Arsenal Ladies just don’t lose FA Cup Finals.

This was their 10th showpiece appearance and a 10th triumph duly arrived as a resolute Sunderland side were seen off at Pride Park thanks to goals from Katie Chapman and Kim Little.

Chapman fired home in the 32nd minute after Helen Alderson failed to hold Gemma Davison’s venomous shot. If the Black Cats keeper was at fault for that, she certainly kept her team in the game with a string of fine saves.---------------------------------------

SWITCH47 says
Meanwhile Everton fc ladies are giving the arsenal Ladies a run for their money for the league title which the latter has dominated for a very long time- -------

EVERTON LADIES VS ARSENAL LADIES TITLE DECIDER?!

It's all or nothing for Everton Ladies this Sunday.

Their clash with Arsenal, which takes place at the Halton Stadium in Widnes (kick-off 2pm) will decide the 2008/09 champions of the Women’s Premier League.

The sides have already met four times this season, with the Gunners claiming victory in their Community Shield, League Cup, and FA Cup ties.
Yet the Blues' excellent 3-0 victory over Arsenal in March has lead to this title showdown on the final day of the season; Mo Marley's side are top of the league table with a three point advantage.

But defeat to Arsenal on Sunday would hand the title over on goal difference and in order to maximize support for the Blues, Everton are allowing Season Ticket holders free entry to the game.

Ahead of the clash, evertonfc.com spoke to manager Mo Marley and defender Fern Whelan to get the lowdown on the crunch clash.

This season's fight for the Women's Premier League title could go all the way to the final round.

In the red corner are Arsenal Ladies, bidding for a sixth consecutive crown. In the blue corner are Everton, who ended Arsenal's 108-game unbeaten League run in March.

The two contenders will meet on Merseyside on Sunday, May 10 in a game which will almost certainly decide the destiny of the title.

The Arsenal Ladies have scooped their fifth successive title thanks to a wonderful ‘1-0 to the Arsenal’ on Merseyside. EVERTON 0 - ARSENAL 1

Suzanne Grant volleyed home the only goal of the game from four yards in the 13th minute and, although the Gunners had to withstand some heavy Everton pressure, they hung on to wrap up the victory.

Having already won the FA Cup and the League Cup this term, this win complete the Ladies’ domestic treble.

It is the perfect way for Vic Akers, who is stepping down as Ladies manager in the summer, to sign off. He has scooped an incredible 32 major domestic trophies since forming Arsenal Ladies in 1987.
