I have re-read my response to you and I think I was a bit too harsh. I am sorry about that. I hope that despite my hard tone you were able to see where I was coming from. Sometimes it is so easy to forget that we also made mistakes like the younger generation. As a piece of advice when writing to a recruiter never write that you are a jobless graduate, it gives a negative connotation. You can phrase it as " A graduate searching for a/an .... position".

J'espère que vous acceptez mes excuses.

I understand.

Its well.

In as much as I agree with you on points 6,7 and 8.

I do not believe that all expatriates are better than our graduates, especially the ones with work experience and exposure.
Just because someone schooled abroad doesnt automatically make him better than those who schooled at home.

We must stop mentality of denigrating anything made at home including our graduates, we dont like our locally manufactured products now our graduates too.

Some of these guys who school abroad go to substandard schools smoke pot and take hard drugs, they are arrogant selfish and ruthless.

They only use the foreign education to exact high allowances and pay and dont add any value to the company they represent, they just take credit for other peoples work.

I think you like hiring them cos the commissions and fees you get from them are higher and juicer.

Its not because our graduates are inferior, no one has a monopoly on knowledge not in this internet age.

I once worked in a company where the chairman decided to outsource entire IT department to Indians. My word. Their salary was triple that of Nigerians. They had a house 1 block away from the office. A car and a chef and they were the laziest bunch ever. I've skills in IT though it wasn't my major so when the Indians requests for 72hours to do a task that can be done in less than half an hour I got weak. We Nigerians also don't value ourselves. For a tiny fraction of what the Indians earned, we could have hired a team of 3 Nigerians (as against the over 10 Indians) and murdered the project in record time.

As much as I agree that in some cases expatriates are better exposed, give a Nigerian a fraction of similar exposure and see (most of) them do exploits. My 2 cents.

As much as I decided to come here to be of assistance to those who feel I have something to offer, I will not appreciate any degrading comment of any kind even if no offense is intended.

I never generalized, I simply indicated the holes the majority fall into.
Show me a line where I used the phrase 100% of the graduates or all the graduates.

Do work on your interpersonal skills and anger management.
Bregards.

Listen, ma'am.... all i see is you making an effort to cover up your excesses because you were corrected. This sends a red flag to anyone reading. I made sure i read your thread from top to bottom to give me the exact insight to what you were trying to point out.

I must say, i agreed with some of the things you wrote, but where i became furious was when you started with your comparisons, thereby rubbishing the Nigerian graduate as a whole(intended or no). Try to call a spade a spade. A mad man needs not be told he is mad, before acknowledging.

You pride yourself in being a HR specialist, you open a thread to (un)deliberately erase the morale of an average Nigerian graduate, comparing them to their counterparts(yet we still break grounds off shore), yet you say you were not generalizing?. Have you tried giving a Nigerian the opportunity her counterparts have, and see how very much they would set unbelievable records?. If i'm not mistaken, you are Nigerian, please give us some slack, take pride in what we are!!

Then again, you are most definitely wrong in your shallow assumption. Not only is your thread annoying, you still went ahead to defend your error...

You have just missed the point in your above comment, where you stylishly dodged replying the issue i pointed out to you, instead you pride yourself in being, what was the word again?.....an international recruiter.

Let me put it to you that even though no one is above mistake, you have also exposed your ineptitude by making that mistake on someone's cv, yet you discredit job seekers and even when your attention was called to it, you proudly defended with the words, 'Do you know a JD more than the employee?'....'an ssce employee, don't forget....My dear, this says a whole lot about your specialty! To be a HR specialist/Manager, you are like an intermediary between employees and employers, and your interpersonal relationship should not be questioned.....Please remove the anger or pride you have, and realize your mistake and quietly move on......I have no reason to disrespect you or any one else when UNCALLED for.....

*Enough said*

Whew! Ify! You can be irate! Chai! Slow down sweetie, it's a lot better to shake hands than grip the jugulars. I bear olive branch o...

Sisioge dear, you see, this is most definitely not about being irate, believe me. Lol @ Olive branch...But you see, as regards the said urchin angry, i prefer to hold jugulars, so long as its his, rather than shake hands.... If i tell you the pains this cretin has been through to get my attention, you would by now have unconsciously developed a dropping jaw.

Imagine someone who has never seen or known me,in this life or thereafter, shouting to the roof tops he knows me and we have most certainly lived in the same house, i now had to ask him to produce pictures or just shut up and of course because he is all mouth and no trousers, couldn't provide proof....

He discredits my writing, teaches me morals he has never for once adhered to. He tells the world i owe him something i know nothing of, strange, aint it?..... How could you owe something to someone you don't know? He calls me names with one side of his foul mouth, and professes love with the other. He went as far as creating a moniker very similar to mine, called exotique1fy, opens a stupid thread with it and indulges people to mention me, all in the bid to get my attention while displaying his psychopathic traits.....

Sincerely, i have never come across an individual with this rare deformity.Breeze through my profile, and find this dude following me... He is a registered member on NL,with various monikers of course, yet he contributes nothing to any reasonable thread, rather you see him most active in the romance section. My dear, this is just the tip of what this deranged idiotic fellow has done....

Anyway, i gave your profile a glance, and i understand you were once searching for 'prince charming', how misguided you were...I laughed out loud seeing your criteria of the said charming, because i no too well there is a slim possibility of finding what you need here. Out of curiosity tho', did you find?i would want to answer in the negative on your behalf, (i might be wrong tho', but i very much doubt). Wish i had come across your thread before attempting to be over nice to some folks here.....

I also humbly bear the olive branch.

P.S: I love the way you write. wink

lolz! grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin bwahahahaha!!! honestly! I didn't read a word from the above post. babe you've got issues. I suggest you start being serious about dealing with them.

now some good news for you! grin wink

I am about to retire this moniker for good. it has outlived the purpose for which it was created. now there are things I want you to do so that this moniker can be buried forever! grin wink

the first thing I want you to do is to drop your pride (yeah! your pride). it oozes out of your posts. it is not good for a lady to be unnecessarily puffed up and haughty (you're not all that you know). remember! pride goes before a fall wink

the second thing I want you to do is to stop being saucy! angry the way you dish out verbal assaults (even in written form) shows that you have a fundamental personality flaw. it is written in scripture that bitter water and sweet water cannot flow out of the same spring. the mouth you use in praising God, you don't use it to destroy/curse your fellow human being (no matter the provocation). pls change this attitude of yours.

the third thing you should do is already know to you (its actually the first thing I need from you). do the needful for the sake of peace grin wink

Shalom! smiley

Lol.....Dude, you are just a vain desperado, simply put. So pride then is good for the male folk, huh?... Or were you trying to say drop your 'pride' and unblock me?....Unfortunately, blocking you aint a thing of pride, it has to do with pre-caution...

Its like you don't understand i want this moniker to remain as it helps me expose your foolishness. Was i available when you were foolishly creating it?

I sincerely shake my head for you. I have come to understand you are just a void and you need to be filled. There is sincerely no need replying your comments seeing you have nothing to offer. You most certainly will collapse one day from lack of attention and affection, but news flash, i can't give you that.

For the umpteenth time, please maintain the sorry idea u have of me(without speaking with me, seeing me or knowing me), as i have come to realize you are just fanning your already bruised ego. In trying to pick faults, you forget, that your faults are staring right back at you....

You are welcome to deceive NLDERS, but the truth remains you cannot deceive yourself, take it bro, or swallow it... U fail to understand you are doing urself the greatest disservice by seeking attention from someone who cares nonetheless if you are alive or about to drop dead the very next minute (yes, that is how much i have come to detest you).

I am always amused reading your comments, guess what? it only helps to reveal the depth of your shallow-mindedness, joblessness and bi-polar disorder...

You are just a funny dude to think i would do as you have asked. In fact, it is because you asked i will not even consider it(whatever it is).

You are obliviously daft to refer me to the scriptures, when you are the slowpoke who called me a mumu and a fool...or your mouth too isn't an organ that should bring out sweet water?.

You painfully explain in details how proud and saucy i am in two paragraphs, yet in your 3rd paragraph, you become surprisingly vague in trying to tell me what it is i'm supposed to do for 'peace to reign', since you can't tell me what it is,could you kindly tell the house?...I remember you saying, if you start with me, i will get tired....if this is all you have got, then you truly have nothing....

You have learnt nothing at all even when i have tirelessly tried teaching you common sense and the appropriate way to handle women.

Dude for the sake of your inner peace, quit quoting me, i have nothing of yours. Let's continue to play this game and see who emerges winner in the end,but remember, its the job and vacancies section, so even though you are entitled to freedom of speech, it shouldn't encroach on the next person's....

P.S: I am most definitely certain the OP of this thread was referring to your like, if you have been unbanned, read the thread carefully, it would go a long way in helping you establish your career path...

Finally, when you are tired of asking what i do not know, you can have yourself the much desired rest...

Hmmm,it’s amazing how proud some of this recruiters and hiring managers are. They are so proud even more than the peacock. It is no longer news that the havoc they have caused to the manpower of this nation through their standpoint of perfectionists is alarming. This raises the question as to whether they have gone out of their way sometimes to solve the problems of this nation or adding to it, in anyway, it’s a tail of using their HR tactics to raise money for their greedy activities. You will agree it could be a clever way to cover trails of their mischievous transactions. I don’t know why they cannot just be a solution to the unemployment for once, rather than saying Nigerian graduates are these , nigerian graduates are that. Some of them have taken job interview for a battle ground between them and the interviewees after being collected fat pay for their consultation fee(s) from their clients ; hoping to get a cheap workforce/ slave to labour for a peanut and then demanding this; demanding some God know-how standard from such applicant(s)to meet. We know their styles. All na 'bottom belle'. Please save,Nigeria today! Once you do it right there is assurance that there will be a developed society. The question again is what can you do to ameliorate the situation,in terms of rendering community social welfare training for roquets(applicants) awaiting jobs; volunteer to do training in your mosques, churches etc for those awaiting jobs instead of complaining that Nigerian graduates are unemployable.

Seriously, you are not doing anything apart from usual awareness.

You should go beyond marketing yourself because some of us are working on our graduates to improve without awareness and they are picking up.

Even the so called foreign graduate, some of them do not know much, for instance i work in an ICT company, the last recruitment i conducted was unsuccessful because our management was carried away with foreign graduates and at end of the day we were disappointed.

Please we have good hands in this country, my young graduates please have faith in your self and step up.

My oga chill
U r correct in a way but note dis..
Tu and vous mean you, vous is for formal, unknown persons nd for respect while tu is for friends nd relatives..

I said I am waiting for u..dis means je tu attends or je vous attendez
You can't see your lecturer nd say je tu attends.
I used vous for u.

J'attends
Tu attends
Il attend
Nous attendons
Vous attendez
Ils attendent.

I've always had an interest in French. But I didn't pursue it earnestly... can you recommend a textbook I could get to study personlly? or any e-materials that will be helpful? I've knowledge of the language fundamentals though. Thanks.

P.S: I love the way you write. wink
