1. CHOOSE A BUSINESS: First, you have to decide on what really you are going into. You may want to consider a flair or passion of yours-you can transform that into your business. Think deeply on what products/services you want to render in ex-change for money. Some businesses in particular locations can be a no-brainer, that is, you are bound to be successful in them. If you find yourself in such lucky situations, you ought to act fast.

2. LOOK FOR A STORE/SPACE: This may be the tedious aspect of your prepping to set-up your business. Getting a good space at a good location (at a good price) isn’t an easy feat. Now, you should consult a (local) real-estate agent. Most of them will ask for money but you can convince them you’ll pay them as soon as they secure a good spot and if they insist, you shouldn’t pay them more than 1,500naira at first. While waiting for a call-back, you can go round to see spaces up to let and while this process is on-going, you can proceed to the next step.

3. INVESTIGATE MORE ON YOUR PRODUCTS/SERVICES: Take time to know more about the products/service you intend to sell. Where and how much can I acquire them? will I make good profit selling these products/services? These and more you should ask yourself.

4. STOCK YOUR STORE: After you must have secured a space, you should do all necessary innovations to suit your taste and business type and then, stock in your goods. At this point, you can gradually or fully open for business.

Not so difficult, right? Well, good luck in your new small business!
