What I deduced from our Governor Ambode's threat was just empty. If he truly want to arrest trailers plying lagos road from 6 am to 9pm, he needs to set up a task force that will take care of that or else these trailers will continue to move freely & fall freely. I don't know may be some of the drivers don't see on braid day light or what's their problems.

The trailer guys don't secure their containers on the bed properly and they drive recklessly too, even knowing that a loaded truck has a very high roll-over risk.

Impound trucks whose containers are not properly secured and charge very high bail.

Impound trucks caught in the slightest act of reckless driving or manoeuvring and charge excessive bail.

Restrict trucks to a strict speed limit of 80km/hr. Impound defaulting trucks and charge breakneck bail.

With these, sanity will surely return.

first of all, the drivers(who inspect their training), your guess is good as mine: nobody. Those trailer/truck don't have any idea of road signs/laws governing the use of the road when driver, theirs is zombinizing movement.

These trailers aren't falling for nothing. There must be a reason for this surge in fallen trailers.
