The first of the Crusades began in 1095, when armies of Christians from Western Europe responded to Pope Urban II’s plea to go to war against Muslim forces in the Holy Land. After the First Crusade achieved its goal with the capture of Jerusalem in 1099, the invading Christians set up several Latin Christian states, even as Muslims in the region vowed to wage holy war (jihad) to regain control over the region. The crusaders never started the killings, the crusaders were established to defend europe from marauding jihadists who had been terrorising europe and even captured part of europe for over 300 years. Jihad started in 623 AD during the time of the evil one aka mohamed, so it would take a complete buffoon to claim the crusaders started the killings when all historical evidence even from muslim sources say otherwise.

Sharrap! there.the Arab/byzantine wars was started by xtian byzantines when they invaded Arabia in the Tarbouk war as far back as 630AD.why not also tell that to the hundreds of thousands of jews, Waldensians, cathars, albigensians and other so-called heretics who were brutally murdered and burnt alife by the crusaders.even with that, the Muslims never repaired evil with evil, they were guided throughout by Islamic principles.
'The principles established by the early Caliphs
were also honoured during the Crusades, as
exemplified by Sultans such as Saladin and Al-
Kamil. For example, after Al-Kamil defeated the
Franks during the Crusades, Oliverus Scholasticus
praised the Islamic laws of war , commenting on
how Al-Kamil supplied the defeated Frankish
army with food:

Who could doubt that such goodness, friendship
and charity come from God? Men whose parents,
sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, had
died in agony at our hands, whose lands we
took, whom we drove naked from their homes,
revived us with their own food when we were
dying of hunger and showered us with kindness
even when we were in their power."
