Nigerian youths turn gamblers in the name of soccer. Sporting activities is a good tonic that lubricates human souls and body. It imbibe the culture of unity in diversity and bring about love among all Nigerians.
But recently,the way and manners some Nigerian youths support some foreign European clubs is going very bad. Their thirst for these clubs have made majority of them to be more violent in their sporting lives.
It has turned many Nigerian youths into gamblers, they prefer spending their useful time in soccer betting houses. When there are other useful businesses that they can engage in. Little wonder is the way some have lost their loved ones to the occasional brawls among various European clubs soccer enthusiasts. Some youths have turned to
nocturnal wanders and belligerent creatures all in the name of supporting foreign clubs in England, Spain,Germany,France,Italy to mention a few.
Why should we kill ourselves because of players who cannot even sense our existence?,why should we loose our loved ones to frequent brawl when these 'oyinbos'still calls us 'monkeys'?,why should we allow quest for monetary gain in soccer business of those
sports betting houses to nail our conscience?,why should we keep wasting much time in supporting foreign European clubs when we can invest our time in other beneficial undertakings like micro businesses?
The stupidity of many Nigerian youths for worldwide soccer figures like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo,Neyman,ZLatan Ibrahimovic who are fulfilling their own dreams is going haywire. It has made numerous youths to become fearful and troublesome creatures in their behaviors at soccer viewing houses and even outside among their peers or colleagues and friends, whereas,human opinions is bound to be different when discussing issues. How many of them even have an idea about the Nigerian local clubs. They keep loosing their common sense everyday to the flair of European clubs.
This ugly trend has moved down to the secondary school as many young students are so wild in desiring to bet. It has made many of them to steal from their parents,friends,uncles,sisters & aunts. The integrity of many youths have being stained. Yet,there is no check by all constituted authorities. Are we going to fold our hands until all youths become menaces? If this is to be tackled, then the best time is
now! We need to stop all this erratic behaviors.
Nigerians youths should stop acting stupidly.
