I'll shorten everything


Hello guys..
So after spending three years at home as an entrepreneur, I finally decided to get a degree in the university.
Guys I wrote Jamb this year 2015/2016
I did science in secondary school, I've always loved science.. Though i hated chemistry I still liked maths and physics.

In my course of choice, i choosed Computer science and FUTO as university.

I wrote the jamb exam and I got 193.

Post utme came, I wrote and got 232.

Sum my score and Divide and the average is 212.5

Computer science my dream course cutoff in Futo this year is 216

I was 3.5 marks away so they didn't give me admission.

After waiting and waiting, they released their supplementary form.

Now this is the Point I need your help.

Please guys.. My dream course initially was Computer science... I've always loved and liked Computers.. In fact I own a tech website that fetches me 70-80k per month.

Now guys I'm forced to choose b/w

Geology, Statistics, Mathematics and Physic
as those are the course in physical science department in Futo.

Out of the four my favourite is Geology and statistics.

Now my big problem is I don't know the one to choose b/w the two...


I would have gone for statistics because it is closest to computer science and i could switch over to computer science in year two if my grades are high.. But my friends keep discouraging me telling me i rather write Jamb again than do statistics as a course in any school.
I Googled about it the cousre had potentials in other countries.. But I don't know about Nigeria..

Geology in the other hand is also one of my choices.. Due to my great love and passion for computing and computer related stuffs, I don't like geology.


I don't like it because it contains chemistry which I detest so much.

But my friends tell me its the best and that i won't look for job after I'm done with it.



[bNow Guys My Biggest questions are][/b]

1. B/w Geology and Statistics which is Best.

2. Are we gonna stop doing chemistry at a certain point in Geology?

3. Can I do masters in Computers assuming I finally Decide to study Geology?

4. Is statistics really not A lucrative course?

5. I heard statistics exams are pretty hard when in exam hall and also time consuming.. Is that true?

6. B/W statistics and Geology which is the best of best that will allow me work with computer since i love computers.


7. Should I rewrite jamb? Note I have a business at home... But I wanna be educated so i can mange My business well.



Please guys just answer from your experience.

Go for statistics and re-write jamb.

Go for statistics, do extremely well in your first year and apply for a change of course...Among the options listed, statistics is the closest to computer science

Bro, Geology is a very nice course, with your knowledge on computer and maybe software. Applying it to Geology will fetch you a Great job.

Sure you will definitely stop chemistry someday.

But Man, Geology ain't easy.
