Turkish warplanes have reportedly shot down a Russian military aircraft on the border with Syria.
Russia's Interfax news agency cited the Russian defence ministry as saying that a Su-24 had crashed in northern Syria, and that its two pilots had ejected.
Turkish military officials said Turkish F-16s had shot down the plane after repeatedly warning its pilots that they were violating Turkish airspace.
Video footage showed the plane crashing into mountains in Latakia province.
Russia launched an air campaign to bolster Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government in late September.

It says it has targeted only "terrorists", but activists say its strikes have mainly hit Western-backed rebel groups.
Turkey, a staunch critic of Mr Assad, has warned against violations of its airspace by Russian and Syrian aircraft.
Last month, Ankara said Turkish F-16s had intercepted a Russian jet that crossed its border and two Turkish jets had been harassed by an unidentified Mig-29.

Turkey is a member of the NATO Alliance, which has said it is ready to defend Turkey if Russia violated its airspace.

Turkey is angry that Russia has stopped the flow of Oil to Turkey by ISIS after 525 oil tankers and refinery in Syria.
Turkey supports ISIS and Boko Haram. Remember the allegation sometime ago that Turkish airline was used to supply Boko Haram with weapons

Atleast, you didnt becomne inhuman and mock the dead this time around, unlike on the Airbus crash. Thats a pass for you.
Regarding the downed plane, possible reactions and consequences would be determine by establishing if the Russian Su 24 actually violated the airspace of Turkey or not. If it does, wish it appears to be, the Russians can hardly complain, since they would have done the same thing to Turkey if it has violated it borders as well. The bitter truth is, the Russians just have to swallow the repercussions and refrain from further violations, except they can prove otherwise, which in turn would definitly lead to certain retaliations.

But one thing is now certain; activities in the Mideast is getting to a breaking point where all caution could be thrown to the wind. That place is about to erupt.

Am humanist,I never was inhuman on the crashed plane,I only relayed my opinion based on empirical evidence available to me on the subject matter at hand then.

The Russian jets most likely crossed into Turkish airspace, because there's a boundary between Syria which Syria claims that Turkey is in possession of territory formerly belonging to it.It's possible Russia wants to play a Crimea on Turkey by identifying the area as Syrian territory and not Turkey thereby warranting It's jets to fly into Turkish zone.

It's worthy of note that they were warned ten times for five minutes. That's enough time for the fighter pilots to leave that zone but obviously indications shows they were out rightly being defiant.

Should Russia need to prove it's innocence,it needs to clarify to the world if the jet's violated Turkish airspace or not.

Yeah, the Middle-East is gonna be a hot zone pretty soon,France has found the perfect excuse to dive into the region,Russia is not leaving anytime soon, even if they collective goal is attained(getting rid of ISIS),individual conflicts of interest would come into play.
