True this is a case of accidental discharge due to carelessness. If faulty weapons was a norm with firearms, gun making companies would be faced with litigations upon litigations for not providing safety measures. Guess the man failed to put his safety on. His entire team squad should be made to undergo phschological evaluation and his boss querried on if he monitors their safety and skill abilities.

was it a revolver or a pistol? pistols always have a safety switch, why wasn't it on safe mode?

as much as i detest the nigeria police force but in this case i sympathise with him
he should be released to go bury the woman.
i really understand how he is feeling now

Sometimes I wonder if these people are trained well before given a gun. Any one is prone to mistakes .

They should investigate first if they had any problem before drawing any conclusion. Has there been domestic violence in that house? Extra marital affair? interviews from family and friends of the victim to know is she has been threatened by her husband before now? Many angles should be explored before conclusion is drawn.
