I keep reading comments about how people in the east and south south have been marginalised and the insults too.. as far back as 2011 Yorubas were skimmed out of things and don't bring up the Tambuwal/Adeola scenario because GEJ cldav appointed people from the SW into any big office. Those seeking equity must come with clean hands"
Unlike this year, SW gave GEJ the bloc vote whereas SE/SS didn't vote for PMB much and yet SW was skimmed out of things and there was no agitation for Oodua state or country.....Irrespective of ethnic affiliation I strongly feel the best man should be chosen; North, South, East, West....anybody PMB feels he/she can deliver and I suggest a kinda rotation to keep everyone on his feet..
Tunde Fagbenle said in his column

'......alas, where was one Igbo or person of a different ethnicity, just one,
raising a voice against the perceived
marginalisation meted to the Yoruba
at their turn, a turn that this column
of December 18, 2011 was forced to
dwell upon? Truth is, unless and until
our collective sense of fairness is not
selective but cries forth against every
instance of it, any hope for a united
country remains forlorn......'

“But before PDP apologists snigger
in glee, this should be no argument
for those advocating the West should
move into “mainstream” party
regardless of quality of thought or
direction of such a party. It is one
thing to be partisan on appointive
positions it is another to run against
the constitutional imperative for
“federal character” and balance in
political and public office
appointments. Even if there were no
PDP members at all in all of South
West, it still behoves the government
in power to ensure full compliance
with the constitution, and to pursue
fairness and justice if peace were to
be sought.”
