WAEC Dragged To Federal High Court Abuja Over Examination Malpractice by emmyw(m): 11:49am On Dec 07, 2015 |
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has been dragged to the Federal High Court in Abuja by the Exam Ethics Marshals International. The group is demanding that WAEC release the names of its officials aiding and abetting examination malpractice. This came after WAEC announced in a press conference that it has sanctioned some examination administrators who aided and abetted malpractices between May 2013 and December 2014. The suit which was filed with registration number FHC/ABJ/CS/487/2015 through the group’s lawyer, Jeremiah Akahazemea, is asking the court to compel WAEC to make public the names of the invigilators, supervisors and the students indicted in malpractice for prosecution. December 31 deadline to destroy Boko Haram can be modified - Buhari President Buhari has said the December 31st deadline he gave the military to destroy Boko Haram can be modified if their are reasons to do so. Buhari said this through his Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Gabriel Olonisakin, who spoke at the opening ceremony of the 2015 annual conference of the Chief of Army Staff in Dutse, Jigawa state today December 7th. "Let me emphasise that the timeframe given should serve as a guide and if exigencies of multiple operations across the country requires modification, the Federal Government will not hesitate to do so in order to address the flash points that are emerging in parts of the country. The Nigerian Army must, therefore, develop strategies to address the current challenges facing the country and ensure total elimination of the insurgents.". On August 13th, President Buhari while swearing in the new service chiefs, charged them to defeat the insurgents before the end of the year. |

For how long are we going to sit and watch our educational system get decayed? For how long are we going to continue shifting the blames on one another? i attended a government school in my area where just 1 student pass WAEC every year...exempting maths and English,It's so unfortunate that the government are not doing anything concerning this,Intelligent students fails WAEC every year and I keep wondering why. A question that keeps bothering my mind is ''Do WAEC sell results''? 2 Likes |

Long overdue.. WAEC is gradually losing its Integrity. I remembered when I was teaching mathematics back then, I had to resign coz I can't withstand the atrocities being commited in the name of writing Exam. Students, Parents and school management now see exam malpractice as a normal thing. |
